Aroma is grassy citrus aroma hopping with a dark caramel biscuit malt lingering. Appearance is ruby red brown, crystal clear with small off white head. Taste is dark biscuit caramel with firm bittterness. Not roasty but thinking about it. Grassy earthy citrus hop aroma present but not as pronounced as aroma. Palate is medium and crisp but with some residual body. Overall an excellent beer. Almost a hoppy brown as the roastyness is almost there... but either way this is a nice beer that works. Bought in a sampler, would buy this in a full case. smaynard6000 (1167) - Apopka, Florida, USA - SEP 5, 2015
Pours a dark red color with small beige head. Aroma is piney and citrusy hops with just a touch of caramel malt. Well balanced, alternating between sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Enjoyable. tfontana (976) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 5, 2015
Bottle in pint glass. From Signal Variety Plaistow NH. Aroma is bread, dough, grass, hay. Appearance is beautiful clear reddish brown with very mild sparkle and less than finger-width beige head and minimal lacing. Taste is mix of sweet and bitter with bitter-dominant finish. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture and lively carbonation. Overall, not much hoppiness, which is odd, but more of a malty character which seems to fit the transition-to-fall theme well, nonetheless. Very well balanced ipa, not to bitter. Very floral, Belgian almost. Malt is strong and holds up to the hops, which are definitely in front Nicksbeers (26) - - AUG 25, 2015
Aroma you can pick up some fruits from the hops. Smells a lot like the torpedo, but more fruit. Pours red with a off white colored head. Taste similar to the Torpedo. Fairly bitter. Good beer would buy again.

Bottle. Pours a light reddish brown color. Foamy white head. Aroma is definite hops, some citrus and pine. It says it has rye but that doesn't necessarily come across on the nose. It does however come across in the flavor. Hoppy and dry. Nice flavor and finish.

Pours dark red with a tight, lacing white and grey head. Strong floral nose, citrus, spruce. Aroma of floral hops, caramel malts. Soe coffee taste, which is unexpected. Gorgosh (500) - SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2015
Poured a light copper color with aromas of caramel, light bitterness and some fruit. Flavors are the same, light grapefruit, malt, and some bitterness, decent overall. hohops (998) - Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2015
Appearance is a dark, ruby/brown, a two-finger beige foamy head which settles into half a finger. Clings a bit. Aroma- very fruity- orange and grapefruit, with hints of dark fruit such as blackberries. Malty, yeasty undertones. Taste- hop bitterness, raisin hints, malts, toast with marmalade, nice mouthfeel with a short finish. Tasty.
