hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Rated on 4-03-2010 (Bottle) This beer pours a small fizzy white head with a short retention, transparent yellow body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malty, grainy, hops, spicy, and crisp. The taste is malty, grainy, bready, hops, crisp, and refreshing. The palate is lively carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is quaffable and refreshing. Buongiorgio00 (934) - - JAN 22, 2014
Not an award winner by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems like this style is the go-to for brewers looking to fill the Spring range just after winter finishes. Clean, crisp, sweet bready malt forward despite what the label says, just enough hop notes to be present. Drinkable but nothing special. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 24, 2013
A: pours light golden ale with excellent clarity. Single finger loose head dissipates to nada. No lacing.
S: smells like sweetened malts and hints of noble hops. Very earthy, yet subtle. Nice.
T: grainy, earthy, hints of florals. Quaffable.
M: medium body with middle of the road carb.
O: good example of the style. Nice and rounded with great potential as a session ale.
Serving type: bottle

I’m currently rating every SN brew I’ve ever had in one clean sweep.
I grew up on the classic SN Pale having it around during high school, and since have watched SN grow into a national representation of incredible craft beer. Living 45 mins away is a treat for the random growler fill. Keep up the amazing work and thanks!

Bottle. Sweet grainy malt and hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with a large white head. Sweet bready malt and spicy grassy hops flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation. ads135 (4607) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - OCT 15, 2013
A bright bock beer. Not my favorite from Sierra Nevada, but its a solid addition to their output. Honey, bread, with some grassy hops. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - SEP 4, 2013
January 2010. From bottle. Golden color with a white head. Malty aromas with honey, light fruit and spice. A little sweet with hops on the finish. ebone1988 (1919) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - AUG 6, 2013
2011 batch. Aroma is sweet, some hops and malt but something sweeter, like honey. Appearance is a nice gold. Taste is like scotch ale, sweet malt, honey, a hop bitterness. Palate is average, not too sharp and decently thick. Overall, for a two-year old beer, this is still pretty solid. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 12, 2013
The head is ok, the body orange-brown. It smells a bit dry, alcoholic, dusty, fruity-creamy. taste is creamy, less hoppy, aromatic, mild but yeasty, interesting. Ok but this one was aged, so I would like to drink it again in a fresh Version. 12/11/12/11/12/11
