Copper color in the glass. Wonderful bright citrus and resin hop aroma. Balanced bitterness on the palate. Pleasant malt sweetness in the background. Well done. oRos (1675) - sacramento, California, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Bottle from 4pack. Suprised doesnt have the typical sierra hop taste. Has a clean hop finish. Not to malty. Great ipa Tybalt (212) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Typical strong hop aroma - but a very sweet tasting IPA. Kind of a candy apple like taste, followed by rich, sweet hops, and then some more caramel like sweet flavors to finish. I'd call it a dessert IPA. bpreo (2903) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAY 19, 2012
That is a vicious Imperial India Pale Ale (I IPA, not IIPA). Really harsh aftertaste, and lots of hops. hair-old (191) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Tastes like Pilsner Urquell from the early ’70s,but with 10.4% alc./vol.
A miracle brew from the masters in Chino. It’s a turbo-pilsner that will soon earn uber-praise from the CZ republic.Congrats on your well deserved perfect rating.2012 version.

This one is disappointing. Did not finish it. Just too boozy to enjoy. I like stores that allow you to buy just one beer to try. Had to buy a four pack and will try to give the other three of these away.

I really love this one-- it has a searing, floral bite but then settles in with a very nice fresh, airy balance.
To me, the ’12 version seems just slightly maltier than the ’11, but it retains all the really interesting hop aromas and tastes. I find myself slurping up the foam before it’s gone, as some of the hop flavors are just amazingly unique, strong, and complex. jonno (2879) - JAPAN - MAY 18, 2012
Full toffee/hop nose. Very sticky and very full bodied. Big hop blast - pine and citrus but pretty well balanced for the style. Perhaps missing a bit of nuance to make it a classic, it’s still an enjoyable, robust experience. The label art is fantastic as well. Reid (2605) - Salem, Oregon, USA - MAY 17, 2012
12 oz from "Lifesource" Salem.
Clear orange IPA,typical, with a robust tight, creamy white head.
Great wafts of hoppiness in the aromas resiny,floral,herbal..seemingly fresh
Very bitter..mostly herbal, some fruitiness way in the back..surprisingly the malts are strong enough..caramel,hay,nuts..wow
For all the terrific hop action this is quite well balanced on the tongue and the large alcohol content not really noticed..very well made!
Great beer fabulous Bricktop86 (882) - Moore, Oklahoma, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Pours golden amber with lots of soapy head. Smells mostly of piney hops with just a touch of caramel. Tastes of hops, earthy, grapefruit and a bit of malt. Warming alcohol on the finish. Very good balance even with 100 ibu’s its not too bitter.
