COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A group of hop-heads and publicans challenged our Beer Camp (#19) brewers to push the extremes of whole-cone hop brewing. The result is this: a 100 IBU, whole-cone hurricane of flavor. Simply put- Hoptimum: the biggest whole-cone IPA we have ever produced. Aggressively hopped, dry-hopped and torpedoed with our exclusive new hop varieties for ultra-intense flavors and aromas.

Hops, hops and more hops are the stars of this big, whole-cone Imperial IPA. Resinous new-school and exclusive hop varieties carry the bold and aromatic nose. The flavor follows the aroma with layers of aggressive hoppiness, featuring notes of grapefruit rind, rose, lilac, cedar and tropical fruit all culminating in a dry and lasting finish.

Excellent DIPA. Great aroma and flavor - goes down easier than expected at 10% and 100IBU. Nice balance of sweetness and bitterness, but it definitely lets you know whose boss: the hops. An impressive offering from SN

On tap; pours an orange copper with very little head. Aroma is a bit spicy from the hops. Flavor is a rush of citra hop in a burst of resin-y goodness. Very good, but Id expect no less.

Draft at elliott bay pizza. Pours a brilliantly crystal clear medium gold with tons of nucleation columns and a nice creamy white head. Drippy lace. Big fresh pine and tangerine nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toast, caramel, grapefruit, pine, and tangerine on the mid palate. Oily, bright, and acidic. Long heavy bitter finish that stays crisp and resinous. Beautifully done.

Golden light amber. Pine resin nose. Medium bodied with assertive hops dominating the palate from start to finish. This is a great example of the style.

12oz bottle courtesy of Anndiesel. Filtered honey orange-tan. Foamy, soapy off-white head. Fruity, tropical hop aroma. Quite an awesome IIPA, really captures a clean, fresh hop feel. Drinkable despite the massive ABV. So clean, there is really no unwanted syrupy action going on here at all. This is just a great example of the style, not unlike Hopslam or FFF IIPAs. Smooth honey-tinged finish.

Pours a clear orange color with a large off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops with a decent amount of balancing malts. Flavor of strong citrus and grapefruit hops, alcohol, and light balancing malts. Alcohol quite prevalent. Could be better balanced.

Aroma is strong of ctirus hops with some caramel malts and a hint of some alcohol. Flavor starts off with plenty of citrus hops, finishes with more alcohol than I expected from the aroma. Nice bitter finish as well.

Pour is a clear orange with a average white head. Aroma is plenty hoppy with some caramel malt. Flavor is mild pine hops with a weak malt base. Finish leaves a very bitter hop resin on the tounge. Also a little alcohol shows up at the end. It was ok but not as good as I was expecting. I cant find any info about how old my bottle is but it cant be that old since these just hit the shelves but the piney hop zing I like was lost in the bitterness.
