COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

Note: This beer is no longer made and has not been bottled for a few years now. It was replaced by Torpedo.

A bit too much carbonation for my liking. Mixing it with the porter as a Black & Tan makes it much better than it is by itself. It's average.

Tastes and looks like a homebrewed version of a Ballantine Ale or a Pilsner Urquell.Pretty good.

good strong tasting beer but the taste is sometimes overpowering............

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Good bitterness - hops control the flavor, and that's quite OK with me

Now sold in my bar in Texas, this is a beer that can not stand up to it's brother: the classic Pale Ale. Cascades used a little too much.

Betcha didn't know there was a Sierra Nevade IPA, but there is. Sold only at the brewery and a few bars in Chico, CA, this is even better than their Celebration Ale. Smooth, light and crisp, but the hop flavor is huge, matched by a bubblegum0like maltiness. A rare treat.
