2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Decent IPA. Good for IPA the novice, it has a classic ipa taste without being too hoppy. Easy drinkability.
Liked this pale ale as the taste was up my alley and the colour was the brown shade that i liked. Would buy this again if I could find it in Canada. willisread (3342) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 4, 2015
Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. This was never as good the pale ale in my opinion. The hops just never reached IPA levels at the time. A pretty modest IPA for IPA standards. Jabah (484) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2015
I didn’t care for this as much as the regular Sierra Nevada pale ale. It was a bit on the bitter side, as IPAs should be, but something about the balance between malts and hops didn’t work that well for me. Not very smooth going down. The flavor is there for sure....a bit fruity and very hoppy. Basically a decent average IPA, nothing special. slowrunner77 (12043) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 21, 2014
"this one falls into the "standard" catergory of Sierra Nevada Beers, the aroma and flavor one expects from a good ipa are lacking, and you can’t help but notice a similar hop profile as several other SN beers."

Very nice IPA, doesn’t wallop you over the head with hops, but you definitely know they’re there. Good character, bitter finish

Coper beer, exaggerated amount of carbonic gas, big and unstable head. Citric aromas are felt, not too much from the malt is perceived. Flavor with some caramel and citric notes, not really bitter at the end. Bolobeer (10) - - JUN 26, 2013
Very pretty, dark orange color. It wasnt that it was too hoppy, but the hops just came out wrong somehow, not crisp enough maybe. Decent, but I would take the pale ale over this any day. Bricktop86 (847) - Moore, Oklahoma, USA - APR 6, 2012
A decent starter IPA but you will soon learn there are better out there. Sierra Nevada’s pale ale is better beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - MAR 16, 2012
Bottle, amber with a off white head. Scent is grain and straw. Taste is caramel and grassy.
