COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

Bottled. Poured into pint glass. Typical hefe type color, very small head. Mild banana and spice flavor, not dominant like Ive had in other versions. Good refreshing beer, low abv so this could be drank all day long on a hot summer day.

cloudy orange-yellow appearance. Like peach juice with large thick white head. Very full spice/fruit aroma. Bananas predominate. Fruity and spicy but clean to the taste. Fairly light, carbonation is not too extreme. A very refreshing, thirst quenching veer with enough going on to keep you interested. I feel like i could easily drink a few pints...In fact i think i will

deyholla (11506) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 27, 2009
Bottle at the Bloomington Beer Festival. Poured gold with a near white head. Aroma was sweet with yeast notes, bring out a sweet grain or sugar cookie note. Flavor was sweet as well with a distinct yeast flavor and a dry finish. A bit sweet for my liking.

Strykzone (7311) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - OCT 26, 2009
This beer pours a cloudy golden and is just a bit dirty looking. An aroma that is fruity, yeasty, and funky. This is a beer that is full of zest. Plenty of fruit, yeast, and sourness. Again, funky. Nice and dry. So very good.

blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 26, 2009
Bottle [12oz]. Pours a slightly hazy, bubbly gold with an average size somewhat-lasting fluffy white head. Slightly sweet aroma of banana, yeast and light spices. Mild, yeasty flavour along with light spices, sweet malt, wheat and banana (too much banana for me, but any banana is too much for me). Average bodied. A decent Hefe, though a bit too sweet and banana-ey for me but thats a personal preference and not a knock on the beer.
