COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy softly carbonated yellow-white colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and floral. The crisp semi-flat mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish. The flavor contained notes of wit like malt and mild banana. An OK brew just nothing special.

Draught at SBWF. Hazy golden. Very clean and true to the style. Probably the best american hefeweissen Ive had

Nice! I havent seen this one before! Light crisp aroma, quickly dissipating head reveals a golden haze with plenty of bubbles. Dry spiciness with a hint of clove flavor....A Nice brew!

Bottle. Hazy rich goldenrod pour with a tall white head, good retention and modest lacing. Aroma of fresh banana, vanilla, mild clove and just a touch of yeast. Banana and clove follow through to the flavor along with citrus note. Crisp mouthfeel along the lines of a kristalweis and a clean, flavorful finish. Might be the best American example of a German hefeweizen Ive had.

12oz bottle. cloudy yellow pour with a thin off-white head that leaves a ring. nice aroma of wheat, spices, bananas, yeast and hint of lemon. the taste is what youd expect - a well balanced mix of sweet malts, banana, lemon and spice. creamy light to medium palate with a tiny bit of tingly carbonation. very drinkable.

Bottle. Really nice hazy yellow color. Good example of a hefeweizen. The taste has the traditional fruity character of vanilla, banana and orange. Big body for this kind of beer. Its a little too clean and uncomplex to compete with the best german hefes.

One of the best stateside versions of the Hefe, this one hits on all points. Aroma is full of banana, wheat malt, clove and a but of bubblegum. Looks great in a glass with its cloudy maize body floating a big fluffy white head. Flavor is full and round with a soft mouthfeel, and just enough tartness to keep you coming back. A little sweetness creeps in over time. Well done!

Poured from bottle. Aroma is toast and lemon. Dark gold, cloudy - especially when you mix in th sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Strong white head. Big lemon and malt flavors greet you. Clove and spice in there too. Blended nicely at finish.

Hazy golden body with a fluffy white head. Great aroma of yeast, banana, clove, and a hint of citrus. Smooth, soft, and creamy. Wonderful flavor. Citrus, banana, and spice. A very good example of a Hefeweizen.

12oz - Pungent yeasty aroma, banana and clove. Flavor is doughy and spicy. Palate is creamy and smooth. A great hefe.
