COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

This is absolutely brilliant, beautiful banana sweetness and very refreshing. Another winner from Sierra Nevada for sure.

One of the best hefeweizen beers I have had. This beer has a fruity after taste that is just like the bottle proclaims "reminiscent of ripe banana".

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis just hits all the right notes making for a classic, tasty German Hefeweizen. Nice fruit and clove aroma coming from a think bubbly head. The pour is yellow and cloudy. (Swirl the last third around before pouring it in the glass for the best flavor.) Intense banana flavor tempered by a light clove note. Faint banana flavors linger on the palate. Kellerweis is a refreshing classic hefe that won’t disappoint!

I have had this beer in many formats. And as is the case in any hefe, freshness is key! This beer is an absolute perfect representation of this style of beer. However, make sure it is fresh. I have had a bottle that was at least 4 months old and the flavor and aroma dropped off, but this is not unusual to this style. Recently, I had it on tap at the brewery and I was very happy indeed! (plus it was only $4 in a proper glass!)

Beautiful copper color of a new penny. Very hazy when poured properly. Sticks to your palate the way a good hefweizen should. Minimally bitter. Everyone has their own personal perfect beer... this is mine.

Awesome wheat beer. Hats off to these guys for producing one of the best Wheats I have had outside of Germany. Nice and light, refreshing and full of wheaty goodness. Highly recommend this one. Only reason that it didnt get a 5.... it causes hangovers unlike German wheats. 8-)

The smell is of banana and clove. The color is exactly what I would expect of a hefeweizen... pale yellow. The taste is amazing. Overall this is mine and my wife’s favorite hefeweizen. Cant get enough!

Beautiful. Like orange juice and toast. A very nice Hefe. Even my friends who hate wheat beers can tolerate this one.

Aroma - Banana bread and baking spice Appearance - Cloudy yellow, like watered down orange juice Taste - Tastes follows the smell, banana bread, baking spice, sweet but nicely balanced, smooth Palate - Creamy, pleasant fizz Overall - Excellent beer, amazing Hefeweizen, right up with Weihenstephaner as my favorite of the style.
