COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hitachino Nests most popular beer is their White Ale, so it was a natural starting point for this collaboration. We opted to add hops (as we are known to do) and made a white IPA based on the flavor profile of the White Beer. Kiuchi suggested incorporating the use of yuzu (a small Asian citrus fruit) into the brew, and we found the bright lime-like tartness perfectly accentuated the flavors of hops and the spicy notes of the classic witbier yeast.

Bottle. This is really good. Mostly clear golden pour with a white head. Witbier aroma, some spice. Texture has a little creaminess to it, plus a little lively carbonation / hop bite. Getting the lime-like character on taste. Yummy stuff.

Bottle from the 12 pack. From notes backlog. A: Semi-clear gold with a white head. N: Pine, yuzu, rye, peppercorn, straw, fields, hay, some grapefruit, coriander, and flowers. T: Very spicy, bitter, and lightly sweet. M: Medium-light body with some resins, creamy carbonation, no alcohol. O: Solid White IPA. Not overly complex, but the yuzu comes through well and mixes in to the proceedings.

12oz bottle from the box set. Pours clear bright gold with a persistent creamy white head. Juicy tangerine and fresh peach flavors with light bready malt, floral hops with hints of sweetness. Low carbonation and a clean, fruity finish. The hops presence is mild vs what one might expect from an IPA, but overall it works, nicely balanced with the fruity sweetness.

Bottle. Pours a clear light yellow body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is sweet with a really interesting fruitiness to it. It really works with the hop bill well. The flavor is equally interesting, can’t say that I know what a yuzu tastes like, but they must be delicious. It’s tropical and slightly sweet with a little citrusy kick on the back end from the hops. Just the slightest wheat taste makes it past the fruit. Light bodied and fizzy with prickly carbonation. Very nice beer, one of the most interesting of all the beer camp series. 3/8/8/3/16

Far from being hazy, pours almost brilliant clear golden with lasting foamy white head. Aroma: fruity esters, with citrus (grapefruit, orange), stone fruit (apricot) notes. Also banana-like notes, some phenols with clove like note...flavor follows aroma: bread like malt backbone, some flavor of corriander, spices. Hop bitterness is medium. Slightly dry bitter finish with slighty tart-dry mouthfeel of yuzu. Light to Medium bodied, smooth texture, medium carbonation. Refreshing.

Clear pale gold with an inch of fluffy white head. Aroma of yuzu, lemon, wheat crackers. Nice but plain. 7- Very sweet with loads of citrus, some slight herbal and peppery notes. No snap to the end makes it dull. And how is it 7% ABV?
