Keg at the Torpedo Room. Pours deep brown with a thick, creamy tan head. Mellow nose, hints of smokey roast, faint cocoa. Light sweet flavor with faint toasted malts, cocoa, earth; rather bland. Light bodied with soft carbonation; as usual, the nitro serve has messed up the mouthfeel. Somewhat bland on the finish, just some burnt toast, slight earthy bitterness and weak cocoa. So so. Draft at torpedo room. Strong dried chocolate aroma. Cocoa. Taste is lightly toasted coffee. A touch thin but otherwise good. VsXsV (4414) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2016
Draught at Sierra Nevada Torpedo Room. Opaque black liquid with big, firm cream white head. Aroma of coffee, light ash, light grain, light fresh hops and toast. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of coffee, light ash and toast. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Decent. j12601 (10898) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JAN 23, 2016
On nightro (obvs) tap at the Torpedo Room. Pours a deep black with a thick tanned white head. Soft faintly alkaline roast, light chocolate. Medium-bodied, but on the thin side due to the nitro. Chocolate, cocoa, soft roast. Straightforward and clean. Easy drinking, soft malt and roast into the finish. andrewje41 (3741) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - JAN 11, 2016
Nitro pour at the Collective, as part of the Sierra Nevada night. Guess this is the harder one to find on their list this evening, so I jumped on it. Pours black with the thick nitro foam head. Near absent aroma. Flavor is very light roast and coffee. Drinks light, with a cream body. Alright beer. Just lacks the expected bold flavor.

Pours a deep brownish black on tap with fluffy tan head that leaves great lace. Aroma and taste are mild, like almost dead on par with guinness, kind of disappointing aside from the look and the mouth of nitro. Dogbrick (12912) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 31, 2015
Sample at the Mills River brewery. Brown-black color with a medium thick creamy light beige head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Patchy lacing. Roast malt, coffee and chocolate in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, sweet malt and a bit of dark chocolate. The finish is sweet with a roasty malt aftertaste. Decent overall. chinchill (4928) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 7, 2015
On nitro tap at the NC taproom.
Excellent creamy and very durable head. The body is not quite as dark as expected but by the finish is clear there’s an adequate load of dark roasted malts in this brew.
The body seems a touch light even for style. monk191 (1959) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 28, 2015
A nice nitro stout overall, basic and unoffending but refreshing. Pours a opaque red-black with a thick tan head. Smells a bit nutty with a hint of coffee as well. Taste is quite nutty and creamy, and a bit thin. Easy drinker. Had on tap at The Pour House in Chico. Fatehunter (2561) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JUN 8, 2015
