I reckon this is a pretty solid blond ale. It’s clear and golden yellow w/ only a small ring of head. The nose here is mild but pleasant, kind of a smattering of grassy and citric hops. The flavor has real hop bite to it though w/o being overdone or harsh, which makes for a very crisp drinking beverage. This is just a touch sweet which brings out some lemon notes, medium bodied w/ vigorous carbonation--again lending to crisp drink-ability. I am not sure I would call this 100% to style or anything like that but it does achieve what I hope for a Koelsch to achieve, which is it’s a very flavorful and drinkable blond ale. I’d be happy to drink this all summer if there were sixers of it at my grocery store. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - SEP 9, 2015
Pours basically clear straw golden with a fairly tall eggshell head that settles to a foamy ring and leaves some killer foamy and delicate lace. Nose involves bread dough toward sourdough, lightest noble hop spice, crisp clean grassy florals. Hardly sweet, fairly bitter. Light to medium bodied, active, clean, crisp, finishing on the dry side with dough and light hop oils. Really nice quaffable brew. I don’t know if they’re doing mixed packs of cans yet, but this needs to be in a can. Really digging it. shrubber85 (11448) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 10, 2015
Bottle. Floral lemon malt and straw aroma. Pale yellow with large white head. Sweet grapefruit/lemon malt and mildly bitter straw flavor. Nice body. Excellent. ChillCoat (1029) - Concord, California, USA - OCT 15, 2006
Draft at SN Taproom. Pale yellow color with a white head. Yeast and bready malt aroma. Thin and very light. Toasty malt flavor with noticable hops. Malty finish. I didn’t really enjoy this beer much but I have to say it’s brewed to style as I can see it. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - JUN 28, 2007
On tap at HDG. Clear golden in color with a nice white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Hoppy and fruity aroma. Citrusy, grassy, piney notes. Malty grainy, and hoppy flavor. Finish is bitter. Clean mouthfeel. Crisp and refreshing. Medium bodied beer. Very nice. Easily drinkable. Nice light summer beer.

Tap at Sugar Maple. Filtered orange-tan, big steady white head. Not really true to style. Better ingredients. A nice beer nonetheless. Cleaner and brighter than a Kolsch, not really capturing the right yeast essence. Really enjoyable, just not sure I’d call it a Kolsch. Terminus (3686) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 25, 2015

Pours very pale straw yellow hue with a small fizzy white head. Nose is very nice-spicy hops, fresh cut grass, slight grainy note, slight sweetness. Smells authentic, maybe a tad hoppy. Flavors exhibit the spicy hops and pale grain husks, which give this beer a crackery malt profile. Very nice brew! Crisp refreshing on a hot summer day. Nothing special, just very well made and tasty Kolsch. chuckstout (336) - Washington, USA - JUN 23, 2015
Nice sweet malt, lemony, fresh aroma. Pours a crystal clear golden color with good carbonation a white head and good lacing. Nice and refreshing a nice mid palette dryness, with the malt sweetness and lemony flavor in the front and side palette. Finishes very clean with some flavor remaining on the tip of the tongue. A solid session beer.

Crystal clear pale yellow with a sudsy, persistent white head. Clean cracker malt aroma with a little corn sweetness in the back. More light, crisp maltiness in the flavor. A nice, dry, grassy bitterness follows that is right on style (maybe a bit heavy, but this is SN after all). Body is refreshingly light but also creamy on the tongue. Finishes light, dry, clean and refreshing with a light bitterness that lingers. Great take on the Kolsch style. aspidites (1272) - manteca, California, USA - NOV 18, 2006
Hay and malt nose with notes of light bread and herbs. Well done with a good round mouthfeel and nice balance all of the way thru. Clean and lingering finish.
