Can’t believe I didn’t rate this before when I bought it.... and really surprised at how wonderfully this held up and aged. Most of my forgotten cellar has gone to crap but this is beautiful. Thick dark chocolate pour little head 4.5. Not much in the way of aroma but it is old and still cold. Flavor screams dark chocolate in a very natural way. Reminds me of what Brooklyn used to taste like. Big alcohol up front but the syrupy richness catches up to give some balance. Long roasted barley finish. The carafe and roasted stand out. For only having 5 malts this is incredibly complex. Perfect mouthfeel. Chewy fluffy, wonderful. In a world of crappy Imperial Stouts this one stands out. Don’t remember it being like this when I bought it though. GenDV138 (7284) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - SEP 15, 2015

12 oz bottle, 2015 version. Opaque with a dense tan head and sticky lace.ElCapitan22 (363) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2015
Aroma is creamy chocolate, molasses, coffee, prune.
Flavor is dark roasted malt, burnt toast, vanilla, molasses, and a hint of hoppy bitterness. Unlike previous years, the alcohol is well hidden. No heat on the finish.
Pours a perfect jet black color with excellent lacing and great head retention. It smells of dark chocolate and coffee. Tastes like burnt toast and burnt coffee. This is an epic stout and is one that is most memorable! njager246 (697) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 5, 2015

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with black chocolate notes is quite interesting. Taste is a nice mix of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes. Body is pretty full with nice creamy touch with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed overall with good mix of complexity and good drinkability. aracauna (3604) - Georgia, USA - AUG 30, 2015
Very balanced imperial stout. No one note sticks out more than any other. Rich molasses and cocoa malt melds into the hops. No harshness but sticky. MarinaMarket (254) - POULSBO, Washington, USA - AUG 27, 2015
