Cask at Cask Days in Toronto, served in a mason jar. Pours black with a large, rocky tan head that remains and leaves a small amount of lace. The nose has huge roasted malts and coffee, along with molasses, vanilla and chocolate. The flavour is medium sweet with chocolate and molasses combined iwth vanilla, toasted malts and herbal earthy hops. The finish is long and somewhat bitter with coffee, roasted malts and subtle hops. On the palate it is full in body with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, wow, a great imperial stout with elegant malts. 2014-10-24 jspronck (159) - BELGIUM - DEC 30, 2014

One of my favorites from SN. Look forward to the release each year. Great price point. Not as boozy as last years fresh release. Drinks well now or with a little age. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - DEC 28, 2014
Cheers Joe. Jet black pour with a murky head and lace. Sweet, treacle liquorice aroma with hint of hop. Bitter roasted malt, toasty flavour with a warming finish. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 26, 2014
