Bottle at home. Pours black, lots of sweet chocolate and roasted coffee, bitter and dry. SlackerMads (3360) - DENMARK - JUN 13, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2014 2014-06-6: 7+3+7+3+15 = 3.5. Bottle, 2013 edition. Black with a medium sized diminishing dark brown head. Roasted malt, chocolate, warming alcohol, vanilla, pine and citrus hops, doughy yeast notes.. Medium body, oily/sticky texture, medium carbonation. Medium/heavy sweet and medium bitter. A bit hot from mid to finish leaving a bit of a stinging sensation on the gums. Drinks ok for the abv, but somewhat forgettable in the big black ocean of imperial stouts.

Looks pretty good. Still a bit too hot on the alcohol for my taste. It starts ok with soft vanilla and chocolate flavours, but then the alcohol takes focus which is a shame. Starts well, but it’s downhill from there. Leaves me alone and disappointed.
12oz bottle. Pours a very deep brown with a thick off white head. Aroma is mainly smokey and nutty. Taste is a tad on the sweet side with a slight finish of dark roast coffee. TappanGordo (70) - New York, USA - JUN 8, 2014
From a bottle into a glass. Notes of chocolate, malt and vanilla. Nice taste. Nice beer.

Bottle as rail soda, courtesy of kermis. Pours a pitch black beer with a big beige creamy head on top. Aroma of coffee, nuts, dark sugar, caramel and even some old hops. Flavor is very sweet, strong alcoholic, some Port and wood influences. Long sweet aftertaste. Quite OK. deanso (10128) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - JUN 8, 2014

My favorite everyday stout these days. Rich, tangy, strong and refreshing.
