Pours dark, beige foam, good retention. Nose - chokolade, dark bread, malt. Taste is surprisingly more complex than nose: Dark bitter chocolate, coffee, bread, brown sugar, and a balanced bitter finish. Very nice beer

Svart. Brunt skum Lukt: kaffe, soja, choklad, balsamvinäger/grönt äpple/ hallon, lakrits Smak: kavring, soja, choklad, kaffe, cola, syrlig lätthet som drar åt äpple, lite papprig eftersmak Mycket tunga smaker men ganska lätt ändå

Personal blind tasting out of 4 beers.
No head, just some lacing, can see a light oiliness of the body killing the head. Aroma is strong – thick juicy roast, moderate liquor chocolate (so a mix of alcohol and chocolate malt), a little hop. Flavor is a bit acidic stout, cola like mineral is aggressive on the palate, alcoholic dark malts. Overall, the aroma is strong but fine for an impy stout but the aggressiveness of the mouthfeel and flavor overtake the tasty beer elements.
After tasting all of them
The acidic, mineral qualities of the flavor start making this beer aversive to drink, as it did with all the impys. Bbut mayby my palate was starting to get tired.

From bottle. Pours black with big brown head. Deep dark chocolate aroma, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, liquor, smoky, wood, warming alcohol. Medium carbonation, silky, full body, pleasant aftertaste. I’m not disappointed, would recommend.

(35 cl bottle from Systembolaget; 2016 vintage; Pkgd: 08/17/16; 1314) Poured at room temperature into a Põhjala stemmed tulip glass reveals a pitch black body with two fingers of pillowy toffee head that recedes a little leaving lace. Aroma is dominated by roasted malt with notes of licorice and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel, full body, soft carbonation and a warming finish. Flavour has sweetness, a hint of ascerbicity and booze. A pleasant sipper.

2016 edition from a supermarket in Hong Kong. Cheap - less than £3. Licorice heavy scent and first taste. Descends into something deeper and spicier. Good imperial stout. No ten fidy or speedway though.
