This massive imperial stout is incredibly complex, rich, and intense and will develop in the bottle for years to come.

Finally gave this a try last night. Not bad, but didn’t blow me away. Plenty of coffee and decently creamy while not being too bitter, closer to a russian imperial stout. I was personally hoping for it to be a touch sweeter, but that’s just what I prefer. Definitely not overly boozy... just a nice beer to sit down to the computer with.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2017 Smooth and creamy dark chocolate, molasses and mild coffee notes. Nice levels of hop and alcohol that balance very nicely. A great overall brew

Pours a black color with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet with molasses and chocolate. Also had some roasted malts and slight warming. Flavor is the same with more of the alcohol warming.

Black. Cherry tobacco, mineral, mild cocoa, mild roast, sweet caramel, herbal. Same taste, on the sweet side, syrupy some, some hot heat. Not as good 2017.

Nice stout. Aroma is not very interesting. Just a nice stout beer aroma. Taste however is smooth and chocolatey. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz brown bottle. 2016 release. Black pour with a nice low sitting tight bubbled brown head and moderate lacing. Nose has roast and chocolate malt, brown sugar. Taste is rich dark chocolate and cocoa with brown sugar, caramel. Finishes with dark chocolate, burnt malts and a hint of alcohol and some late bitterness. Actually very smooth for an over 10%, impy. Nice full mouth feel. Very well done.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind an opaque black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The mouthfeel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of roasted malt sweet brown malt and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

2016er Edition - fließt ins Glas wie Motoröl. In der Nase röstig, Zartbitter-Schokolade. Im Trunk unfassbar cremig, sehr schokoladig, süß, mittig holzig, rauchig, Röstmalz, hinten bitterer, verbrannt, aber lecker. Wahnsinnig geile Komposition, großartige Drinkability, absolutes Spitzenbier!

Jet black with a tan head. Potent roasted malt with chocolate and coffee notes. Bitter hops. Great beer.

Draft at the source. Pours thick black with a minimal tan head and lacing. Rich dark chocolate, deep smoky malt, dark roasted coffee. Full bodied, syrupy texture with a delicious, chocolate, roasty finish. This is the stuff, rapidly becoming a favorite. It’s hard to age them when they keep getting consumed :(
