Nice aroma with a lot of wood. Flavor follows with a dominant wood along with chocolate and coffee. it gets better as it warms. Probably should be served at 50 degrees plus.

Bottled from Casa De Oro. Black in color. Strong roasty nose. Might be a hint of alcohol and some hops. Roasty up front with some burnt coffee. Some hop character and some alcohol. A little thinner bodied than expected. Finish leaves a little to be desired as well. Not terribly tasty for the style.

Bottle: Pours a near opaque with a thing tan head. Roasted aroma. Some chocolatey and toasted coconut notes. Soft oak in the background. Pretty fluffy texture; less slick than other Imperial Stouts. Flavor is a bit one dimensional. Some cocoa and roast, with an inky finish. Some dull oak notes.

Subtle cocoa and dark malt aroma rises from a nearly black body with razor-thin latte head. Flavor is of roasted coffee, chocolate, char, and burnt caramel. Most surprising is that this hit 10%+ ABV...shocking really. Would never have guessed. Drinkable, even dangerous. Take it easy on this one...or you might end up with a baby in the closet and tiger in the bathroom.
