Sammy (13348) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 9, 2012
On tap at Capone’s Restaurant. Dark brown with no head. A rich aged beer aroma. A good carbonation and full mouthfeel. Chocolate is important, coffee-like roasting is incredible. Fruity, a little syrup. Very good drinkability, no obviously booziness, other than its slight resemblance to the new Manhattans.

Black colour... do I need to add something... The aroma is incredibly pleasant with biscuits, chocolate, sweetness, cocoa, and a lot of maltiness. Wow! The flavour is roasted malt, dry liquorice, ash, dryness, bitterness, alcohol burn... wow, this is incredible. Anyone who can get this beer... please get it! Absolutely a treat.

shrubber85 (11947) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Bottle. Light ash, coffee and chocolate malt aroma. Black with small brown head. Sweet dark chocolate/caramel malt and strongly bitter herbal hops flavor. Lighter body for the style. I’ll give it this - can easily finish the bottle and don’t have to stand in line 4+ hours to get it. Solid beer.
