Pours a thick, dark black with almost no head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee, some fruit too. Blueberries maybe. Taste is very well rounded, a bit of coffee, a bit of chocolate, a bit of hops. Dark chocolate taste lingers in the mouth long after a sip. Does down very smoothly, low carbonation so its like treacle or syrup. Not super boozy either.

Very dark brown, small beige head. Aroma toasty malt, chocolate, and coffee. Full body. Slight alcohol presence. Moderately sweet up front, finish is drier. Mocha, nuts, dark fruit flavors. Well made, nice complex flavors, powerful but drinkable.

Pours pitch black color, topped with a medium small head, dark coffee cream colored, creamy and lasting. Mild chocolate nose with some roastiness upfront. Gentle with some fruity notes present as well as some vanilla. Creamy and silky body. Chocolate sweetness is moderate with some final warmth of alcohol. Aftertaste is gently roasted and lasting. Very lovely and easily drinkable.

Pours out dark brown but is still pitch black in the glass. Rich, bittersweet chocolates on the nose with dark roast coffee in the back. Flavors start off with the dark chocolates just like the nose; middle has some roasted malts & caramel/molasses; finishes with bittersweet coffee. Medium-full mouthfeel with very light carbonation. Dries out nicely at the end without being too intense. Alcohol is well hidden except when it nears room temp (barely noticeable even then). Very balanced flavors; nothing really dominant or overwhelming. Extremely drinkable, easily accessible, & affordable, too. Might make for a good introductory imperial stout?

2016 bottle. Pours a dark black color with a two-finger khaki head. The aroma is bakers chocolate and booze. The flavor is also bakers chocolate, very boozy, some hints of vanilla, and dark roasted malts but not burnt.
