3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Poured a dark coffee color with a light brown creme colored head. Aroma is malty and boozy. Thick and smooth on the palate, maybe slightly over carbonated. Molasses, coffee, and cocoa notes. Good sharp bite to the finish.
Black. Cherry tobacco, mineral, mild cocoa, mild roast, sweet caramel, herbal. Same taste, on the sweet side, syrupy some, some hot heat. Not as good 2017. Chill799 (4) - - SEP 22, 2017 does not count
Nice stout. Aroma is not very interesting. Just a nice stout beer aroma. Taste however is smooth and chocolatey.

12oz brown bottle. 2016 release. Black pour with a nice low sitting tight bubbled brown head and moderate lacing. Nose has roast and chocolate malt, brown sugar. Taste is rich dark chocolate and cocoa with brown sugar, caramel. Finishes with dark chocolate, burnt malts and a hint of alcohol and some late bitterness. Actually very smooth for an over 10%, impy. Nice full mouth feel. Very well done. thedm (6282) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 17, 2017
This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind an opaque black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The mouthfeel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of roasted malt sweet brown malt and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. Fisler (617) - Bamberg, GERMANY - SEP 17, 2017
2016er Edition - fließt ins Glas wie Motoröl. In der Nase röstig, Zartbitter-Schokolade. Im Trunk unfassbar cremig, sehr schokoladig, süß, mittig holzig, rauchig, Röstmalz, hinten bitterer, verbrannt, aber lecker. Wahnsinnig geile Komposition, großartige Drinkability, absolutes Spitzenbier!

Jet black with a tan head. Potent roasted malt with chocolate and coffee notes. Bitter hops. Great beer. Bacchus66 (782) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 27, 2017
Draft at the source. Pours thick black with a minimal tan head and lacing. Rich dark chocolate, deep smoky malt, dark roasted coffee. Full bodied, syrupy texture with a delicious, chocolate, roasty finish. This is the stuff, rapidly becoming a favorite. It’s hard to age them when they keep getting consumed :( drmet (998) - GERMANY - AUG 22, 2017

A Grade A Imperial Stout. Stoned99 (1632) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 17, 2017
09.08.2016 bottles. Aroma: nice toffee, caramel, honey chocolate, alcohol extremely subtle tobacco. App: pitch black with small brown head leaving little lacing. Taste and palate: medium to full body, creamy, liquoreux with alcohol and moderate bitter finish. Overall: excellent. I’m sometimes amazed at how inexpensive beers and not barrels aged beers can taste that good. This is really a treat. So well done. Next time I see it I’ll make sure to buy lots for the upcoming winter or even next year. This beer is already one year old and it seems to be at its prime right now. I want more. beerplace (1805) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 17, 2017
