This massive imperial stout is incredibly complex, rich, and intense and will develop in the bottle for years to come.

12 oz bottle from 4 pack - retail 9.99 - Excellent aroma, and for being a 10.2% alcohol the taste is well hidden with the chocolate and malty flavor. This Imperial Stout has earned its way as one of my favorites from Sierra Nevada. After taste was great.

Aroma: roasted milk chocolate, molasses, and slight black cherry. Appearance: jet black, thin tan head. Taste: molasses, cocoa, espresso-like bitterness, and significant booziness. Palate: Full, milky-smooth, with prickly, boozey sensation, and a bitter, boozey finish.

Black with a big dark brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and cocoa. Taste is the same with lots of hops, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, full body, thick feel, average carbonation. Long roasted hoppy finish.

Really high alcohol content (10.2%), but tastes rich and smooth. This is one of the better Imperial Stout’s available.

Delicate aroma of raisins and hard roasted malt. The taste has both strong espresso coffee, dark chocolate, anise, raisins and a little hint of sherry (or maybe it’s a little cherry) towards the end. In addition there is a taste of dried peat, oak and a little vanilla. The finish is moderately hoppy with extravagant taste of bitter dryness mixed with bitter roasted cocoa beans.

Tappad 31/7, 2014. Komplex, mogen arom.

One of the best imperial stouts I've ever had. Thick, rich, and the booze is virtually unnoticeable. The coffee and chocolate notes are subtle and perfectly balanced. This rivals OB's Ten Fidy. And for ~$5 less/4 pack & ~$12 less/case, it may just top it. The latest of several reasons why SN is my favorite brewery. Well done SN, well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma absolutely screams "DRINK ME!" Smoky, oily, with strong notes of roast malt, quality coffee, chocolate and molasses, it demands that you take more than a mere taste. It pours an oily black sable that could hide in the folds of Darth Vader’s cape, with a firm and fine-bubbled tan head that hangs around for a while. Smoky flavor has firm tones of top-shelf malt and chocolate - you’d think they had tossed Hershey bars into the mash tun. Subtle notes and hints of quality coffee, molasses and caramel sneak through. Sweetness is not too strong - this ain’t no dessert beer. Firm, smooth, somewhat oily texture has a good amount of fizz and leaves a smoky, chocolaty, lip-smacking finish. Nar this whal when you can! :D
