COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We aged our Narwhal Imperial Stout in barrels formerly used to mature rum. The influence of the wood transforms the rich malt flavors. deepening them with notes of molasses, raisin, and burnt sugar.

Tap at Torpedo Room. Last of the keg! Pours hazy dark brown with a tan smear. Aroma is rum and dark treacle. Very full bodied. Flavor is rum, heat, dark treacle, wood, earth chocolate.Finishes undry, but it doesn’t matter. Really delicious. Like rum!

tap at Sierra Tap House Reno. Narwhals typical black pour. Slightly oily texture. Smooth, and somewhere between warming and hot. Sweet, but not too sticky. The rum is nice, though I prefer the bourbon barrel aged.

On draft at the Torpedo Room. It pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is strong with rum and a little barrel. The flavor is rich with chocolate, rum and nutty/spicy barrel wood notes. Warming but not hot. Good roasted malt and barrel in the finish. Tasty.
