On draft at the Bistro Barrel fest. It pours orange with a nice white head. The aroma is oaky tangerines and mild spice. The flavor has light citrus and wood with some spicy yeast and some red wine woodiness in the finish. Pretty good. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 18, 2011
Draft at FoBAB 9. Pours a very attractive orange-gold with a fluffy white head. The nose presents very wood forward, some spicy black pepper and currant as well as white pepper. Really lovely nose, slight tartness to it. On tasting, it is quite dry. Plenty of tannins to help with that and a significant fruitiness and a quenching tart note that is really great. Really refreshing and tasty beer. Ratman197 (14834) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 17, 2011
On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a hazy golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of straw, fruittiness, oak and pepper. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, fruittiness, pepper and light vinous notes with a crisp dry lingering fruity finish. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 13, 2011
draft... this sounded outstanding, but didn’t live up to a yummy description... I get only a bit of the wine barrel, mostly just Ovila muted, off carbonation nickd717 (4691) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 13, 2011
Tap at the Bistro -Bal Aged Fest. Cloudy copper color with a lasting one finger off-white head. The aroma had Belgian yeast, light fruit, and pale malt. The flavor has pale malt, belgian yeast, spice, and red wine. Good if not too interesting. Medium-bodied with average carbonation. Pretty good but not a standout.

FOBAB 2011. Fairly sour. Interesting somewhat fruity flavor. Light mouthfeel. One of the more interesting things I sampled at FOBAB. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Hazy lightly pinkish golden with a creamy white head. Caramel vanilla and red wine aroma and taste with a nice sparkling palate and a crisp floral citrus finish. Excellent. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 7, 2011
sample at GABF on 9/20/11. cloudy white pour with a small white head. spicy nose with light oak. medium body with banana, pepper, citrus and clove. sweet finish with light oak notes. Suttree (6385) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 4, 2011
Possibly my favorite beer of the festival, and it comes from a tiny little brewery called...Sierra Nevada? Geez, I suck at being cool at festivals...At any rate, this was light and delicate, with a smooth and subtle mix of winey, saison spice and funk. Lightly sour, as well. Excellent beer. An amber saison with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice sweet malt with light nail polish and orange peels. In mouth, a smoot sweet malt with cloves, oily mouthfeel, curacao, a bit light, not bad. On tap at Belgian Beer Fest, Sept 10, 2011.
