on tap, pured a deep copper with a nice white head. aromas of earthy hops with a little citrus. big hop flavor with a nice malty presence. very balanced and a nice mouthfeel. good ending bitterness with a slight piney aftertaste. very good, much better than the IPA and i would rather drink this than SNPA. Pint @ Tylers/Durham. Good aroma, sweet. Perfumey, citrus (orange/GF) minor nuttiness, pine. Clean brownish orange color, small head with minor lacing. Bittersweet flavor, grapefruit takes over with a toffee malt in the background. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. Nice. Right up my alley. Seemed right in the middle of the pale ale & celebration. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 25, 2006
Pint at Blue Tusk in Syracuse with Lubiere. Deep reddish-copper with minimal head. Floral, hoppy, citrusy, lemony, and slightly malty nose. Moderate carbonation and a med. body. Great hops up front, moderate bitterness that doesn’t linger too long. A sl. malt sweetness and pretty good balance. Nice! OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - OCT 25, 2006
On tap at Mad Mex in Columbus Ohio - Pours a dark amber iwth a short white head that faded pretty quick. Aromas of orange, light grapefruit, and some light caramel malts. Flavor is similar to SN Pale Ale which has good hop flavor but I do believe this is a tad more hoppy. More grapefruit here and a little pine. Good balance with some caramel malts. Palate is crisp and clean with a nice bitter finish.. Not bad.. Lubiere (13913) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 24, 2006
Red copper orange ale with a thin lacing white head. Restrained malty hops with orange notes. In mouth, a clean malt, light grapefruit and loads of hops. Well balanced. Some nice lingering bitterness. Pint at Blue Tusk, Syracuse, NY. 4.$ Oct. 21, 2006. Shared with Kprobst.

Wow. Just...wow. Feels like an IPA at times, finishes incredibly...easily the best Sierra Nevada offering I’ve ever had. Zeswaft (1773) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 23, 2006
This is a super hoppy pale ale. Doesn’t have that farty grass smell like most fresh hop beers. strong citrus hops and a good balance of malt. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - OCT 22, 2006
Had this on tap at the BrickStore Pub after the Great Decatur Beer Tasting Festival. Amber-Orange in color. Hops are very presentt in the aroma. They must have used a good amount. Fresh hops are all through the palate. Very green. You could really pick up the fresh hop flavors. I hope that more of S.N. will continue to make hopped up beers like this or even Celebration!! erway (1004) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - OCT 21, 2006
Pours a deep clear amber with a lasting white head. Aroma is huge caramelly malts, and lots of delicious hoppy citrusy goodness. The body is med. and well balanced. The flavors are nothing too complex, just perfect. Big caramel malt backbone, lots of fresh dry hop juicinesss, and a touch of alcohol warmth. A lovely pale ale if I have everhad one. On tap at The Map Room. Pours a copper/orange with a medium sized rocky white head. Solid NorthWest hop profile with sharp pine notes grabbing you from the start. Very clean, crisp and the bitterness lingers nicely.
