COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

Bottle from Total Wine & More, St Petersburg. Golden amber with a big cream-coloured head. Heavy on piney hop in the scene, with some mango and caramel. Lovely and strong. Taste is quite bitter, but not exceedingly so, and there are undertones of grapey sweetness throughout. A bit of a medicinal finish but its short-lived. Lingering resin in the aftertaste. An excellent little concoction.

Bottled 09/28, drank 12/22. Copper coloured with lingering head that leaves lace. Smells malty, some caramel, earthy and sappy hops. Taste is well balanced by malts, grass, full piney hop flavour with great aftertaste, wish it was a bit fresher but still a very nice beer.

mrjez (574) - Osaka, JAPAN - DEC 15, 2016
2016 bottle from Sake no Taniguchi. Pours a bronze-copper, nice light beige head and lacing. Earthy aroma but fresh and green, herb, citrus. Good mild flavour, caramel earthy malt, citrus, pine, a light herbal mint. Its smooth over the palate, good balance of carbonation and bitterness, easy to gulp. Not a wower, but a solid fresh IPA that showcases the wet hops well.
