COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

Pours a dark amber with a creamy white head, decent lacing and a piney hop aroma. The flavour of this beer is the stand out.. a grassy piney flavour upfront followed by a smooth finish... very well balanced with the malt backing. I love this beer best Sierra i have had so far.

12oz bottle from Beer Run. Fresh hop aromas, piney, grapefruity. Clear orange-gold with a mostly lasting white head. Dry, juicy, aromatic, well-balanced. Medium bodied.

Bottle pours a highly carbonated clear amber with a two-finger very thick tan head and abundant lacing. Aroma is pine, bark, fruit. Flavor is woodsy, malty, hoppy. Mild to medium bitterness is much more prevalent in the aftertaste. Finishes a little on the burnt side.

[Bottle] Pours red with a small beige head. Aroma has some notes of some things that are a little off--sulfur and rubber? Pretty subtle though, and they do go away with some warming. Other than that, it isnt bad, with strawberry jam dominant. Taste is strawberry jam again, strong malt backbone, and a good amount of bitterness. Good mouthfeel--fairly full and smooth. Overall, I hadnt seen this one on the shelves earlier in the year, but this tastes like it has some age on it. I didnt dislike the beer, but it wasnt real enjoyable either.

355ml bottle. Clear shiny amber with thick two finger white head. Dank hoppy aroma with orange, nectar, caramel, citrus, light grapefruit and floral hop notes. Taste is light bitter with orange, light grapefruit, caramel and light floral notes. Medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation and sweet hoppy aftertaste with some almost burnt touches.

This draft brew from a restaurant poured a head of frothy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a uncarbonated semi-transparent orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was floral and mild hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild citrus and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Very fresh hop aroma. Earthy, grassy, clean not overwhelming. Nice color, dark for an IPA with a cream colored tuft of foam. Tastes nicely hoppy, strong but not bitter. Aftertaste is long lasting, hoppy and refreshing. The palate is a little thin; I could have used thicker or higher carbonation, it seems stuck in between to me. Overall this is good, Sierra Nevada is showcasing how fresh an IPA can be. This could become a go to IPA for me.

On Tap Deep redish amber witha thick dense creamy tan head. Quite a bit of color and woody maltiness for an IPA. PLenty of hop flavor and moderate bitterness. Some wet leaf brown paper bag flavors as well. Stury full bodied IPA

Tawny pour. Big, fluffy off white head. Plenty of lacing. Sweet malty aroma with some earthy hop notes. Taste is a bitter earthy hop with some malt sweetness and slight yeast notes.

Aroma is floral, soap, rye, citrus, malt, potpourri. Appearance is red amber, light brown head, clear. Taste is malt, rye, floral, tropical fruit, citrus, spice, eh. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, spicy pine aftertaste. Overall, this is incredibly disappointing.

Growler from ODarbys Aroma is more sweet malt than hops. Good lookin semi-cloudy dark amber with lacing. Mostly piney hops well blended with slightly toasted malt. Caramel notes. Excellent drinkability. Another great one from SN.
