Aroma: Bread dough, faint banana and spice.
Taste: Sour dough, moderate hop bitterness. Finishes with a slight sour twang.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, clean with lively bubbles.
Overall: An easy drinker, great session with real character.
Pours clear pale golden with a thin white head. Not a lot of nose, but some faint malt and grain. Flavor is light and crisp with a developing cereal like finish, bigabe (194) - California, USA - APR 3, 2011
This is a great summer beer. Crisp, clean, refreshing, and very light - while still maintaining full and somewhat complex flavors. The beer is clear yellow, as it is filtered. Aroma is very grassy, grainy, and full of bready wheat notes. Flavor is classic wheat beer crossed with a light, refreshing, citrusy pilsner. If you’re just getting in to craft brew, try this one... it’s great for beginners. But even a season beer vet will recognize the complexity and balance of this beer. Poured into a pint glass at Sierra Nevada Brewery. Colour is golden with a white head that hangs around throughout the duration if the beer. Beer is amazingly clear for a wheat. Flavour is crisp and clean, with some doughy notes. This would be a very nice beer on a hot summer day. Overall great wheat be flavour and great drinkability. bnoel09 (588) - Elk Grove, California, USA - JAN 8, 2011
Served in a Sierra Nevada "Hops" glass at the brewery itself. Nice golden color with a thin white head that lingers. Aroma has floral hops and wheat. Mouthfeel is crisp with lively carbonation. Flavor matches the aroma well with some slight bread notes. Good beer but seemed more like a golden ale to me than a wheat beer. DYCSoccer17 (3705) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 17, 2010
8 ounce sample on tap at the brewpub. Aroma is faint with light yeasty dustiness present. Somewhat sweet with some biscuits and dough, too. Scantly metallic. Transparent golden-blonde body with a small off-white head and light lacing. Starts pretty grassy and quite bitter with more assertive hops than I was expecting. They kind of dominate the wheat malts. Has some decent cereal-biscuit in the middle before finishing with more fairly bitter grassy and herbal hops. Refreshing. Not all too different from a nice Pils. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - SEP 8, 2010
Bottle from iowaherkeye. Thanks. Poured a clear golden color with a white head that dissipated to a thin lasting film. Nice hints of lemon zest, banana, flower blossom, and cereal grain in the nose. Light bodied and dry up front with delicate sweetness at the end. Subdued flowery hop, minerals, and club soda flavors. Almost pale ale-ish. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 29, 2010
Pours yellow with white head, aroma is some floral hops with a touch of fruit. Taste is bitter floral hops, a touch of sweet and a bitter clean finish. Not bad.
