"yummy! i’m not a huge sierra nevada fan, although they make a couple beers than stand out a little...and this is one of them. great use of hops to balance out the beer!" Travlr (26948) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Draft at Taphouse. Medium brown color, off white head. Aroma of caramel, taste is like a dilute bock. Pretty average. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - APR 25, 2014
It’s baaaack! Out of retirement baby! I always liked this beer and am glad they brought it back, even if it is in limited quantity. It pours a bright clear yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is bready with mild noble and citrus hops with a touch of fruit. The flavor has some lightly spicy hops, southern sweet bread, a hint of grape and grass with a decent earthy, spicy finish. Subdued, but a very pleasant drinker. handlebar (18) - Chico, California, USA - MAR 24, 2014
Just like we remember it...crisp, yet full-bodied with a great floral aroma... Vikingbrew (193) - Colorado, USA - SEP 28, 2010
This is a great pale bock that I enjoyed during a trip to Chico. Great flavor with a fruity finish. Overall, this one is worth the search for and I recommend it to all

Light golden hue, with sticky/frothy white head. Great lacing all the way through sample. A bit of fruit in the aroma, some graininess, and finally a bit of malt. Hints at some hop inclusion. Taste has pretty delicate flavors. Malty and a bit earthy. Hoppy dryness in the end. MF isSmooth and a little creamy for the style .Very drinkable, with nice but not overpowering flavors. Pretty balanced, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, decent philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 24, 2010
Sierra Nevada Brewing Company--Pale Bock--1998 Release--12 oz. Bottle--7.00% ABV. (4.25 / 5.0) Bock.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Company--Pale Bock--1999 Release--12 oz. Bottle--6.50% ABV. (4.0 / 5.0) Bock--Exceptionally clear pale pink golden color. Minimal floral accents. Smooth lightly sweet crisp body develops fruit ester profile midway through taste. Thick body is deceptively easy through finish. Pale gold coloured body with not head at all! Aroma of pale malt and cardboard. Medium-bodied; Strong malty and metallic taste. Aftertaste bitter and strong - not sweet nor terribly pleasant. Overall, decent but great to finally try this one! I sampled this beer on draught at O’Briens in San Diego, California on 23-September-2006. fidel (1302) - Livermore, California, USA - MAY 1, 2009
Poured light golden amber, caramel, malty, bready, grassy, citrus, little honey. ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - FEB 5, 2009
12oz bottle. Poured a hazy golden hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing. The smell was sweet caramel and a heavy cereal malt. The taste consisted of an upfront sweet malt, with a flowery hop and a doughy finish. Afull bodied beer that was slightly too sweet, but still good.
