Light nose, gold color, sticky tight bubbled head. Light honey malt, fruity too - apples. Low bitter, but a broad tingly across the mouth. Fine lager for the New World. SN has many big beers, but this one shows they can also turn out a classy, sophisticated brew too. SkyinBrian (430) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 15, 2006
drinkable malty brew with an american hop kick.............................. HopheadHans (804) - Bay Area, California, USA - APR 14, 2006
Tap at Barclays. Pours with an ornage color and a small head. Looks clear. The aroma is not discernible at all, after warming up a bit one could sense a light mustiness. Sweet lavors of orange and lemon, the alcohol shines through fairly heavily. Carbonation is just right and the palate is pleasant. This beer can be charcterized as a mixture of lager and bock, I would say. ElBorracho (472) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2006
On tap at The Map Room. Pours a golden yellow with a thick foamy white head. Caramel malts with a hint of rye. Finishes crisp with with a spicy, albeit faint, hop bite. ChillCoat (1029) - Concord, California, USA - APR 2, 2006
Bottled. Very clear, brilliant yellow color. Yeasty malt flavor with some sulfurish egg notes. Slightly floral. Grainy malt flavor with a very dry finish. Much richer than I expected it to be.

On tap at the Collins Bar. Clear orange in color with no head. No aroma. Malty flavor. No hop character. Finish is malty. ok. Saarlander (1920) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - AUG 23, 2005
A bottle from 1990! Tasted like milk chocolate, malty, brown sugar, a dessert in a bottle...lol. lots of floaties, but they settled after an hour. too old, but still drinkable. Gilamonster24 (8) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - JUL 8, 2005 does not count
great Brew hitting your palate like a brick with a great finish. hard to find with a very short brewing window one of my all time favorites. rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAY 18, 2005
Rich malt nose with plums, figs - not too heavy. Rich malt, hoppy, a little lemon, sulfur. Yum. Maple/butterscotch in the finish. UNCCTF (588) - Cary, North Carolina, USA - APR 12, 2005
Bottled. Clear golden witha big white head. Very malty flavor, but it was full with some spices and a warming finish. I enjoyed this immensely.
