Dark and fruity, oaky, and some brandy flavors. It’s not bad at all especially for the price. Sikash (240) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Poured from tap. Pours a nice dark clear red/brown color with a minimal foamy off white head. Aroma is sweet with banana, dark fruits, and bourbon. Flavor is clean with heavy bourbon notes but it does not lose the banana and fruit. Mouthfeel is watery carbonation is average. Overall this is a decent beer. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 27, 2013

Great initial taste. I?m not a fan of most Sierra Nevada beers because of all the hops. Smooth malty taste.

2/21/13. On tap at Kickbacks, RBWG Welcome Dinner! Thanks, Steve! Deep brown pour with a small khaki head. Rich wine aroma, lots of red wine, with some sweetness and a touch of roast. Nice rich flavor with a bit of sugar and roast and a tob of red wine. Tasty, but definitely winey. Nice. Leighton (21085) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2013
