Pouring at BBF in Boston. Pours a hazed amber with a thin white head. Soft orange, musk, yeast. Medium-bodied, soft banana yeast, musk, light warm alcohol, more musk. There’s a little gentle peppercorn coming through, but I’m searching pretty hard for it. southernolkart (55) - - SEP 29, 2013
Typical Belgian aroma, spicy, floral with a hint of sweetness. Great classic flavor of a Belgian dubbel. Not really getting the orange flavor but a very good beer. Slightly dry hint but we'll balanced. Hmmm, as it warms up I'm getting a great late taste and aftertaste of the mandarin orange. It hangs around for a long time. What a nice flavor in an aftertaste. Reminds me of a biere de garde mixed with a saison. Nicely dry. I like the flavor, but the old biere de garde flavor is a bit strange, but good.

Sample at World Of Beer. Clear amber color with a medium light beige head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of citrus, malt and spices. Medium-bodied with flavors of zesty citrus, peppery yeast and malt. The finish is mildly spiced with a citrusy aftertaste. Above average overall. HeadyDE (843) - Delaware, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Light/medium orange color leaves a small ring layer white head at top of glass..nose is very enticing with with the orange..lemon zest..pepper..light to medium bodied with a quite dominant citrus presence from mandarin oranges with a backbone of white pepper remnants..mouthfeel is smooth and finishes dry..pretty nice offering however seems more like a hybrid between a dubbel and saison..aftertaste is reminiscent of blood orange canned pellegrino offering..not digging this part as much..worth a shot..

375ml bottle I picked up at Westover Market. Pours a darker orange with some cloudy, creamy, white head. Nose has tons of herbal soap, some sage, lots of peppercorn, a little bit of sweetness, some corn, dried orange peel, some flower petal. Flavor is more straight forward, sweet, malty, peppery, a little fruit, almost a little jalapeno, lavender, a little medicinal too. Chalky, peppery finish. Interesting. anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 23, 2013

Bottle. Pours a reddish amber orange pour with a small head. Nose is floral and peppery with some citrus zest. Taste is yeasty and peppery with fruity flavors, nothing really stands out on the palate, but drinkable. Finishes with strong yeasty notes, with s medium body. Pour from a bottle into a 16oz taster’s glass.
Aroma: Citrus, lemon, and pepper smell.
Appearance: Pours golden orange with a slight copper look in the glass.
The beer has a good carbonation about two fingers head at the top of the glass.
Taste: Orange peel and slight pepper.
Palate: Orange-citrus and subtle pepper that is not over powering with a clean crisp finish.
Overall: It is a good saison beer for the hot summers. The beer is light yet has a little kick with the pepper which makes it interesting. I would have a few during the warm weathers.
