Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

A good choice at a bar with a limited selection. Middle of the road hoppiness, but pleasant enough. Goes down smooth and tastes clean, no fillers. A little grapefruit flavor in there, a litlle floral on the nose, and a nice drink. A good session beer...

I picked up about 8 or 9 bottles of this from a brother in my fraternity who told me "this is terrible. I cant drink it man, im just going to throw it away if you dont take it" I had a good laugh and took it off his hands for him. Poured a light orange hue with next to no head. Floral, hoppy aroma. Sweet and hoppy flavor. A bit unbalanced; not enough malt i think. This is definitely a "drinkable" beer, unlike my brothers, who stick to Keystone and Busch Light, would have had me believe :)

Cascade and malt aroma- medium gold with decent but not lasting head. The flavor is bitter upfront, leading to balanced hop and malt flavors, finishing off-dry. Good, reliable and widely available.

To me its one of those IPAs that you get at a bar because it readily available. Not to say its bad, because its not. I like it. Not my favorite IPA, and nothing to get all worked up about. Its good though, and perfect for a session night, if you know what i mean. Hoppy, light bodied, smooth textured, nicely bitter.

Of all the beers with an abv < 6%, this is my favourite. This beer is very hopsy sic somewhat bitter, but is, withjout a doubt, the best IPA available. I would highly reccomend this beer

Pours with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, rich caramel, and pine needles. Taste is spruce hops and sweet toffee maltiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly resinous with medium carbonation. Nice acidity. One of my first favorite macros, still enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2005 This is a great inexpensive and common pale ale. Its flavor is mildly bitter and acidic with average hoppiness for a pale ale . It is quite pleasant, however it is slighltly watery and leaves a slightly wanting aftertaste. The best part about the beer is the aroma. It is a lightly pungent grassy acidic smell that is wonderful. Though not the most amazing tasting beer, it is still good. I like it primarily because it has a lot of character that comes out in the aroma, the appearance (nice light froth head and beautiful pale dark golden amber), and its market presence, being inexpensive and common, where you usually find the junk beer. I highly recommend this one if you want something a little different, lighly robust, and cheap.

Tasted 11/11/2005. 350ml bottle-conditioned, from Regional Wines. Dark end of golden amber. Very light-tan disappearing head. Lots of "bits" floating about, which I find quite appealing. Just the odd bubble. Im a bit taken aback by the big toffee-ish malt aroma, reminiscent of whisky, and a hint of apple esters, I was expecting huge hops. Hops then come through with allusions to pears and citrus, absolutely gorgeous. Big flavour - caramel, toffee, resinous hops. Slightly spritzy in the mouth, which disappoints a little. Med-mouthfeel. Good - just not as good, in the mouth, as I had hoped from the looknsniff.
