Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Pours amber with white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is pine and caramel malt. Flavor is piney hops with a nice malt backbone. Texture is smooth and finish is medium length.

Poured from the bottle, a clear amber with a thin head. A strong malty aroma - very nice. Malty again in the flavour with a bitterness in the aftertaste. A solid beer that is very drinkable (as evident from ther number I had during my trip to California).

Clear golden hue with a fine head. Hoppy nose with a faint spicy aroma. Malty palate, with hops dominating the flavor, although nicely balanced. Consistantly drinkable, bottle to bottle. In restaurants with a limited beer selection, I will look for this , as it is so widely available.

Bottle. Smells hoppy and slightly fruity. Tastes initially of hops with a little bit of a malt kick after the initial bitterness disipates. Pretty good. I could definately knock back a few of these...

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2005 Nice pour with a great golden color and a decent head. The aroma is malty with a classic "beer" smell with hints of cascade hops. The cascade hops are up front on the tongue with the malty flavor following to balance things out. This is a much better beer than I remember. Maybe my beer palate is changing?

A good pale ale with a surprisingly genorous amount of american cascade hops. Definetly an american pale ale, not the british pale ales I am used to drinking.

Bottle-Geez, a thousand ratings, what can I add. I like the hoppy taste and aroma. Good stuff.

well, why not rate this one? might as well finally get around to it. reminds me more of an amber than a pale ale. malt backbone was really strong in the most recent sample. i know lot of folks who dig this brew but i think its well below average.
