UPDATED: MAY 31, 2006 The standard for an American Pale Ale. Lotsa hops, balanced well and has some complexity. Cascaded with some caramel malts made a very nice APA. Great stuff. Doppelganger (1388) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - MAR 17, 2005
Pours bright copper with a moderate amount of white head. Aromas of clean citrus and a bit of fresh-cut lawn. Nice bready/rising-dough notes. Grainy toasted malt backbone, with piney, citrusy/grapefruit-rind bitterness. Palate is soft and clean. Mouthfilling, but very bright and refreshing. A rare classic that still lives up to its reputation. joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 17, 2005
Clear amber w/ frothy pale tan head. Fresh, hoppy aroma of grapefruit & pine w/ caramel & a light spiciness in the background. Medium, somewhat resiny feel. Restrained, well-balanced, very quaffable flavour w/ a long, hoppy, bitter finish. can8ianben (1556) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 16, 2005
Poured from the bottle. Very drinkable, I have a soft spot for this beer because it was one of the first pale ales I ever tasted. Enjoyable hoppy flavour though not the most intense you will find. madcow75 (426) - Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 16, 2005
Bottle. Orange color with a white head that diminishes. Citrus aroma. Hoppy but well balanced. This is one of my everyday beers.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Apparently the Yanks has this love affair with Pale Ale or IPA’s, tell me, what’s the story behind this? Did a Pommie colonial ship bound for India get stranded somewhere in the Nevada desert? Light amber, slightly hazy. Nice creamy head. Has this magnificently refined aroma from the use of excellent hops. Pronounced but not overwhelming bitterness. Very well done. Now even imported to Denmark - way to go. Hops, fruit and a little malt in the aroma as well as the flavor fla! Also a bitter finish - i like alot! Not that special, but a great beer! braudimusprime (75) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 14, 2005
Strongly aromatic pale ale with a dark orange pour and medium white head. Spicy and citrusy with a slight bitter finish. Exceptionally clean taste and feel; Sierra Nevada seems to have a knack for producing beers without a single false note. A great ale for regular consumption. dirtyc (173) - Erie, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2005
I had heard great things about this beer, and every one of them was true, had this one on my 21st and loved it, great choice, great flavor hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, SWEDEN - MAR 13, 2005
