Sierra Nevada Draught Ale is the draught version of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, the bench mark example of American Pale Ale. This beer is SN’s most popular product, and it has become one of the few craft beers in the United States that has become main stream. Go pretty much anywhere these days, and you will find this beer. This is a wonderful pale ale with excellent pale malt flavors, a very vibrant hop character in both aroma and flavor, and the classic example of this style. American pale ale is know for its signature citric hop character from the use of Cascade hops, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is the standard by which all great American pale ales are judged.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale pours to a beautiful, bright, pale gold color with a nice white head, and a vibrant carbonation. Carbonation is a bit more vibrant in the bottle as it is conditioned with the addition of yeast for a secondary fermentation. The nose is very fragrant with zesty, cirtic/lemony Cascade hop aromas. The palate is very firm with plenty of good biscuity pale malt flavors pair with estery fruity flavors, to balance out the assertive hop character of this beer. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale finishes with a very long, dry, citric hop bitterness that lingers.

This is by far and above my favorite beer. It’s excellent out of the bottle, but it’s amazing on draft. pricey290483 (796) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2014
i have had this in bottle and on the tap i really like them both but i would rather have it on tap than in the bottle rmussman (1701) - California, USA - FEB 28, 2007
One of the best beers. I have had it hundreds of times and still love it. The flavor is tremendous with little to no head, which is not required with this brew. A true norcal classic Bragesnak (5394) - Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 13, 2008

Balanced and with a nice bitterness. Perfect summer ale

Cask at the Wigan Beer Festival. Very similar to the bottled classic. Same floral, citrus aroma, same dark gold colour and the same hoppy bitterness. Just a little more rounded overall and just slightly shades the excellent bottle. Wish I could get my hands on this on a regular basis. phillybass (116) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2013
Such a solid beer. Has all the right things going for it. Hops plenty. Not too sweet. Decent aroma. Easy enough to quaff but substantial enough to appreciate. Only downside is a slight funky aftertaste.

This is one of my favorite beers. The taste is very distinct and enjoyable. Definitely a bitter beer, yum! LinusStick (3473) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 29, 2006
Awesome pale ale! This goes great with buffalo wings as I have pleasantly discovered. Great amber color, beautiful sweet first and sour after taste. This is an American Pale ale for the massed. Look out wimpy beer! hmatt13 (3) - USA - AUG 30, 2007 does not count
This Beer is a beer by which many others are to be judged by. It is almost perfect.
