Enjoyed this one much more than the bottled version; more balanced and less hop bitterness. 24 karat pour with a solid 1-inch foam. Aroma is citrus, spruce, and caramel. The orange zest and grapefruit seems to be offset by a nice honey sweetness. Medium mouthfeel and good carbonation.

PhillyCraft (7585) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 22, 2017
Draft many times at Flyers games or local dumpy bars that don’t stock smaller craft beers. Pours an orange color with tons of carbonation and a medium but receding head. Notes of bitter pine, wood, lemon, old grapefruit, and toasty malt. Not a bad old school pale when in a pinch.

On tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Just a great ale and very glad it was at the forefront of the beer revolution. Delicious.

PotjeBier (3505) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 18, 2017
Had it first in 1998 in the SF area and regularly after that, but not in the past 10 or so years. Now they had it In De Wildeman, so I thought I might try it again. Mostly clear amber color. Somewhat frothy almost white head. Aroma’s: rather faint, a bit fruity, faint hoppy, a bit malty sweet. Flavor is light bittersweet. Light bodied. Reasonably bitter finish. Probably lost a lot of its freshness on the way....Calls for a retry, fresh in the US.

Pint from tap at Fullers (Heathrow Terminal 2). This pale ale is always a safe choice. Neat, clean, slightly hoppy and consistent.

Lane. Jasny, słomkowo-żółty kolor, prawie klarowne. Biała, gęsta, prawie kremowa piana utrzymuje się półcentymetrową warstewką do samego końca. W aromacie wyraźny grejpfrut, trochę łąkowej trawy i żywicy.

Rich golden amber with floral and fruity aroma/taste and a dry clean finish. I was surprised to learn that this is not as hoppy as the bottle/can version. I would like to taste test both back-to-back, since i don’t remember much difference.

Draft at White Horse American Festival July 2008 - As "Sierra Nevada Extra Special Pale" - Golden Brown in colour. White head. Very hoppy; good hop bitterness. Bitter citrus-fruity (bitter lemon & grapefruit). Malty backbone, sweet biscuity malts, caramel. Bittersweet hoppy and citrus fruity throughout. Dry hoppy finish. Very drinkable. (2008-07)
