Somewhat darker than a typical pils. Very bubbly with great head retention. Smells just like fresh clover honey--delicious! Soft, sweet bread-pudding malts with clotted cream. Too malty really to match up with the traditional conception of a pils but very delicious. Much like Lagunitas’ pils. Softly carbonated with a thick, tongue-enwrapping body. Definitely unexpected--a nice find. AleDrinker (1089) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - FEB 28, 2005
Definitely the best pils I’ve ever tried. Poured yellow with lasting white head, leaves lace. Nice straw aroma with slight floral hoppiness. Good strong flavor for a pils, malty, bitter, clean. More body than most pilsners though still nice and light. This was a great drink along side of mass quantities of italian food. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - JAN 5, 2005
Draft at brewery: Clear and light gold. Light, but wholesome, malts have a light sweet-caramel base. Hops have notes of delicate flowers; gentle but aromatic; nice level of bitterness. Very clean. celogan (204) - Oroville, California, USA - NOV 5, 2004
This is absolutely the Best Pilsner I’ve ever had. Sat down at the bar in the SN Tap-room I was Not Dissappointed. Poured Nice yellow with slight head and good lacing. Good Hoppiness and flavor. This is a Must Have Brew. If you get the opportunity, try this, you love it! I wish they’d bottle this stuff. Enniskillen (2060) - Bakersfield, California, USA - OCT 1, 2004
I don’t like Pilsener’s, but this one isn’t that bad at all. Very suprised, nice session if they would just bottle this guy. Nice wheat character, and full bodied.

My favorite Pilsner. A little darker than the average. Good hop flavor for a light beer. It also had a medium mouth feel but still drank very light. Every pilsner should model thier beer after sierra nevada's haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - AUG 14, 2003
When I saw down in Sierra Nevada's brewhous, the server took my beer menu out of my hand and gave me an updated menu. Apparently the Pilsner was finished a few hours before according to the server. Very light yellow color. Not much of a head. But it had a very smooth and refreshing taste. No skunky aftertaste. A very nice brew by Sierra Nevada.
