12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a dark brown color - it’s probably the lightest porter I’ve seen in a while. There’s a creamy one-finger head with an off-white shade. Fluffy and thick, it has decent retention and leaves behind good lacing on the glass. S: The aroma is primarily nutty and lightly roasted, with a subtle backing of piny hops. Though they’re a bit lighter than I’d like, there are chocolate and coffee notes on the nose. There’s even some brown sugar and caramel buried beneath it all. This is a surprisingly deep aroma. T: It’s opening flavor is hoppy and very typically Sierra Nevada (read: Cascade). The excellent finish helps to calm down some of the hop bitterness, supplanting it with decent notes of roasted nuts and chocolate. The robustness is balanced nicely within the sweetness, even if the portery qualities are a bit downplayed. M: This beer is almost as crisp as SNPA, with an upsurge of sweetness to help iron out any overt finishing bitterness. While the body is somewhat thin, it’s so drinkable I don’t really care. It’s well carbonated, too. O: Delicious. It’s not as rich as some porters I’ve had - rather, the easy drinking nature is what gives it its wings. This could make a reliable go-to beer when nothing else is available.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2018 Pivo u flaši 0,33 dcl. Jedan mrvicu vodenastiji Porter ali to nadoknađuje sa finom aromom. Okus je klasičan. Tamni slad , karamela malo kave i lagano slatkast šta meni paše. Gorčina je umjerena. Jedan 'ljetni' Porter ..popit ću ga još nekad ako 'uvoznik' smanji cijenu , jer 27 kn u dućanu mi je puno za njega. ;)

From a keg at Frankie's Pizza, served in a child-safe plastic cup. $10. Appearance: Dark brown body, tan head which didn't last. 3 Aroma: Malt and coffee, with sweetness. Quite soft. 7 Taste: Roast and caramel malt. Then chocolate. Sweetness with light bitterness. 7 Palate Moderate carbonation, smooth body. However it has a watery finish. 3 Overall: Nice dark beer. Refreshing and not heavy. 15

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass. Appearance is clear, dark brown (like a cola/root beer) with nice sparkle, finger-width beige head and poor retention. Aroma is weak bread, caramel. Taste is subtle toffee, pleasant bittersweet roasted malt, vague chocolate. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with foamy texture, soft-to-average carbonation with finish as taste. Overall, the aroma and flavor are good but are not bold.

Copenhagen 10/12 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Meny. The usual Sierra Nevada design with drawing of lush hills with a lot of barley. Pours clear dark brown with red hue. Clumps of yeast moving around in the glass. Small off-white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet and roasted. Caramel, roasted malts, cocoa and molasses. Surprisingly strong carbonation and fat, creamy palate. Flavor has strong sweetness but balanced by medium bitterness. The combination of fat palate and well balanced flavor makes this a big, heavy pleasure.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown with a nice creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt, with bit of coffee, dark chocolate and grain. Taste of roasteded malt, dark chocolate with nice touch of coffee. Nice bitterness with trace of coffee in a dry finish. Medium body, rich and creamy with a robust malty character. Very enjoyable and tasty.
