Bottle. Aroma of dark roasted malt. Underlying coffee, and perhaps some chocolate. Dark brown color with glints of gold. Not much of a head. Full mouthfeel. Creamy. Then the dark roasted malt character reminiscent of the old Guiness. Not so intense, but the same character. There’s a slight sour note, but the finish is burnt and dry. Hop is present, but the roasted taste dominates. Arguably more stout than porter, but very good, whichever. djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 30, 2007
