A sweet creamy aroma, sugary. Hmm... it’s hared to get a good opinion on this one. Basically, this is a really tasty beer that’s not real aggressive or defined in any particular aspect. Smooth, gotta be careful, could sneak up on you. HughConway (831) - Washington, USA - APR 7, 2011
Tap at burger. 4/11 Poured black mahogany stiff tan head. Malt with slight hint of molasses aroma, taste is mildly sweet solid malt. Solid beer. Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 22, 2011
Sampled at cah downtown festival. Very dark brown pour. Almost like a porter and a barlywine mix. Fruity and dark and roasty and chocolate and sticky. Good stuff. Sweet and dark. But again more porterish than old ale. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 1, 2014
On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 04/22/2011 as Sierra Nevada Old Ale. Dark black body with a medium creamy tan head. Sweet chocolate, light fruit and caramel aroma. Sweet light smoke flavor, chocolate, bready and toast malt. Medium body with moderate carbonation. puzzl (3260) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 29, 2010
Tap at RnH. If this beer ain’t loaded with smoked malt, then my name ain’t Praharamdrayanan. It ain’t, really, but still, this beer is smoky and "delicioso," as those new Kalhua ads say. I assume that means something in another language, but I’m just saying it cause I heard someone else say it so it must be good.

ANYways, back to the beer: it is smoky and delicioso, nuff said. This is my last rating of the night.
