UPDATED: MAR 9, 2013 Tap @ Yard House, Las Vegas 19/04/12. Pours clear copper with a large, eggshell head. Aroma is fruity, apple skin, grapefruit. Taste begins pith, apple skin, fruitiness. Turns pine in the middle and finally rye and dry caramel with the pith in the finish. Palate is quite full, rather too much so. Went excellently with a blackened swordfish taco, complementing the charcoal in the swordfish with the rye and caramel and the cilantro with the hops. Interesting combination of citrus and peppery rye flavors in this IPA. Medium bodied amber with lacing throughout the sample. Where Black IPA zig this Rye IPA zags. Excellent Spring beer. bytemesis (9191) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - APR 20, 2012
Pours a dark amber with a strong head. Smell is piney, citrusy and a little sweet. Taste has notable hops, primarily piney, but not over the top. Spicy notes from the rye and significant malt sweetness fill out the flavors. Overall a good, interesting IPA. Nice beer to throw into the mix to change things up a bit. aphelion1979 (172) - West Sussex, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2012

Bottle. This is the first time I have seen it at TJ’s, so I assume it’s relatively fresh. Beautiful copper color with a big, billowy head. Brilliant to look at. Citrusy smells come alive when it warms. I can detect the rye in the aroma, but it’s not a spicy aroma, but more dank. Nice malty backbone to balance out the bitterness. The hoppiness is straightforward, but smooth and all-around pleasing. Not enough rye flavor for my taste, but still a very good IPA.

Really nice beer! Pours dark copper with very light head. Pretty lacing. Nose is light pine. Up front hits of pine that then turns citrusy, maybe almost pineapple. Finish is a bit sweeter with some light pepper notes. Light in mout with medium carbonation. theoncle (62) - Barcelona, SPAIN - APR 18, 2012
L’aroma recorda el suc de taronja i el llúpol dona tocs de pomelo i pebre. El sabor es con una pinzellada de pebre fent-se present el sègol. De cos mitjà amb una major carbonatació en el paladar. Good beer! danjat (2) - - APR 17, 2012 does not count

Oh, this is very nice! Think hoppy, spicey, peppery, citrus and sweet biscuity malts. Bitter sweet and spicey taste and sensational palate. Great beer! Mortlach (2510) - Rome, ITALY - APR 15, 2012
15/04/2012 330ml bottle (thanks dreadnord!). IPA molto buona.
