Bottle. Oh thank you Sierra Nevada for not letting me down! I needed a redemption beer after two big fat FAILURES from two new Arizona micros. This fantastic beer pours medium amber with. Light golden head that leaves delicate lace. The aroma is a full-on hop assault, with tons of fresh white grapefruit, guava, and lime. Given some time, a sweet barley candy note sneaks in. The palate is much the same, very hop-dominant, lots of citrus, some perfumey juniper, with sweet malts underlying it all. In a blind tasting there is no way I could pick out any rye character here, but that doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of this delicious brew. scooterbub (1067) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - APR 7, 2012
12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a large two inch, foamy, tan head that lasts a while. Taste is of pine, citrus, rye, roasted malt, caramel and hops. Similar aroma. The body is slightly oily and the finish is a touch dry and bitter. Easy to drink, satisfying and enjoyable. Worth picking up again. NICKV1117 (23) - California, USA - APR 7, 2012
This has now become one of my favorite seasonal brews. Spice aroma with a full taste of hops, citrus and spices. Excellent with just about anything. Enjoying it this Easter with the family. BeerOtter (12) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 6, 2012
I like having this beer in my imported english pub glass. I personally think that this beer is good with red meats and enjoyed on late evenings. I love pale ales and I have tried quite a few. Alot of them I have not been happy with like Bass Pale Ale; for something that suppose to be so old taste so ’commercialized’. I highly recommend this to anyone that loves a beer that has a bold taste. ADfan (877) - Orange County, California, USA - APR 6, 2012
On tap it had a nice amber color. Aroma of some pine and floral notes. Mild bitterness on the taste along with some resin. It had a nice finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep yet clear coppery maple color with a large foamy light cream colored head. Aroma of tangy citrus, jewish rye bread and bitter hops. Taste of tangy citrus, rye and bitter hops. RobertDale (6847) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - APR 5, 2012
12 ounce bottle. Pours a brownish amber with a nice biege head. Aroma of pine, grass, and spices. Taste is sweet malt, piney hops, caramel, citrus, and spices. Well balanced. Nicely done. Benjii (3050) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 5, 2012
Bottle from Nina’s. Pours a beautiful amber colour with a thick beige head. Aroma of rye, pine, caramel and pineapple. A great rye flavour gives way to pineapple and grapefruit hop characters. Nicely bitter with fairly heavy carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. This is lovely and my favourite abv also : ) stefannilssons (1582) - SWEDEN - APR 5, 2012
Det första som slår mig är en spontanjäst doft som inte följs upp i smaken överhuvudtaget. Smaken i sig är skönt balanserade och något svårpreciserad men god. Slutsats: annorlunda, lite märklig men god. Gramoit (494) - Surrey, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2012
UPDATED: APR 11, 2013 2013 edition is not too dissimilar from the 2012 version, however I enjoyed this a little more. Pours amber, with a thin head. Very nice flavour with spiced rye and well balanced sweetness and hop flavour. Very smooth and a very enjoyable beer.
