12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a large two inch, foamy, tan head that lasts a while. Taste is of pine, citrus, rye, roasted malt, caramel and hops. Similar aroma. The body is slightly oily and the finish is a touch dry and bitter. Easy to drink, satisfying and enjoyable. Worth picking up again.

This has now become one of my favorite seasonal brews. Spice aroma with a full taste of hops, citrus and spices. Excellent with just about anything. Enjoying it this Easter with the family.

I like having this beer in my imported english pub glass. I personally think that this beer is good with red meats and enjoyed on late evenings. I love pale ales and I have tried quite a few. Alot of them I have not been happy with like Bass Pale Ale; for something that suppose to be so old taste so ’commercialized’. I highly recommend this to anyone that loves a beer that has a bold taste.

On tap it had a nice amber color. Aroma of some pine and floral notes. Mild bitterness on the taste along with some resin. It had a nice finish.

Bottle from Nina’s. Pours a beautiful amber colour with a thick beige head. Aroma of rye, pine, caramel and pineapple. A great rye flavour gives way to pineapple and grapefruit hop characters. Nicely bitter with fairly heavy carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. This is lovely and my favourite abv also : )

Det första som slår mig är en spontanjäst doft som inte följs upp i smaken överhuvudtaget. Smaken i sig är skönt balanserade och något svårpreciserad men god. Slutsats: annorlunda, lite märklig men god.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2013 2013 edition is not too dissimilar from the 2012 version, however I enjoyed this a little more. Pours amber, with a thin head. Very nice flavour with spiced rye and well balanced sweetness and hop flavour. Very smooth and a very enjoyable beer.

Poured from a bottle. Very nice gold reddish color. You assume it would have a bitter finish but it is nice and has a nice finish. I like it and recommend it with spicy food. ---Rated via Beerology
