Starts out so promising - beautiful amber body, with a light fluffy head. Aromas of soft blackcurrant and sweet wine dominate the aroma, although I detect some metallic off-smells in there too. Flavour again starts well; plenty of hops, and very fragrant pleasing ones they are too, but it peters out into a metallic, noble hop finish that while very refreshing, isnt overly pleasant.

Fresh bottle. Aroma is amazing, tons of tangy hops, rye bread, nice malt bill. Taste us a bit peppery but balanced with the hop rye flavor. A little smokey on the tongue but drinkable.

Pours a dark, copper-brown with minimal head. Floral/hop aromas are rather muted. Flavor is a pleasing combination of the hop bitterness and rye-grain flavor. A more toned-down IPA thats smooth and not quite as bitter as some. I liked it.

[Thanks to MatSciGuy]. 12fl. bottle. Orangish colour with a perfect formation of an off-white head. Nice lacing on the glass and moderate lasting. Aroma is fruity, floral and hoppy. Flavour is from the beginning to the end bittery, dominating floral hops, resins are also present in the aftertaste. Slightly dense on palate. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium. Texture is mld oily.

Pours deep amber into the glass, with a wispy head that diminishes, leaving spotty lace. The nose is huge of hops and rye bread. Flavors are of peppering rye and superbly bold bitters. It finishes spicy, with lots of pepper, and has a substantive, yet quaffable, "large" mouthfeel. A bold palate, but well-drinkable, this is a nice take on the IPA. And plus-one for Sierra Nevada for exploring a different side of the whole-cone hop experience. Nice job.

Bottle: Light amber pour with a finger of creamy beige head. Sweet citrus aroma indicates lots of sticky wet citrus hops... some caramel, pine, resin. Tastes a lot like SNPA, but with the addition of rye. Some florals stand out and it gets a little dry. Not as hoppy as an IPA could or should be, but more hop profile than most rye beers I can recall. Good
