COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sold only on draft at the brewery. This unfiltered ale is fermented with a special wheat beer yeast which imparts a clove-like spiciness with vanilla or nutmeg notes and a fruitiness reminiscent of bananas or apples. Low in bitterness and mildly tart with a soft roundness characteristic of a Hefeweizen (hazy wheat).

Cerveja de trigo honesta. Boa formação de espuma e pouca retenção. Aromas frutados e de especiarias.

Decent beer, not what I would expect from a beer named "Ruthless", a tad light and lacking flavor ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark orange color with a light top. Light hoppy aroma. Nice palate with nutty end. Over all good IPA with a light bitterness note. ---Rated via Beerology

On tap at Lanesplitter in Berkely poured a cloudy orange with a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of wheat, yeast and a hint of spice. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, clove and yeast with a crisp lingering spiced finish.

glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 26, 2008
On tap at Showbox in Seattle - how the hell did they get this? Hazy dark golden. Moderate spicy malt with some sweetness. Refreshing. One hell of a surprise when at a concert at a very non-beer joint. Far from mind-blowing, but solid.

Delirium (669) - Falmouth, Cornwall, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2008
Draught at 99 Bottles in Santa Cruz. Lightly cloudy yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma is light banana, somewhat sweet, with a bit of clove. Flavor is the same, with a small bit of hops in the finish, and a good bit of yeastiness. Slightly sweet, though none of the bubble-gum sweetness of some hefeweizens. Not exceptional, but solid.

ahalloin (54) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 17, 2008
I had this beer at the Sierra Nevada tasting at the Brickskeller in DC. Pours a yellowy-golden unfilitered (or lightly filtered as Steve Grossman said) look with a good amount of head. The head retention is fantastic. The aroma is of orange peel, clove, and maybe some banana. The beer imparts a lovely bouquet of spicy wheat, clove, and non-descript fruit in a smooth medium-sized mouthfeel.

Hazy golden yellow. Aroma of wheat cereal, bubble gum, clove, and banana. The flavor is very similar. Medium carbonated, smooth, and rather light.
