I’ve fallen a bit out of favor with most scotch ales but I ordered a pint of this because it’s SN .. . Dark purple .. Mild foam, spits if decent lacing .. . All the typical prune and dark malty flavors .. The mouth is perfect, easy going finish .. . . If I cry out, you’re gonna push it some more!?! drowland (9078) - Georgia, USA - APR 29, 2015
4/29/15. On draft at World of Beer Destin. Deep brown pour with a small tan head, mild lacing. Surprisingly mild aroma, malty, caramel, definitely something toasty... bread, toast, toffee. Lightly sweet flavor, definitely not too much, hints at nuttiness, toffee, sweet caramel, green hop bitterness, lingers doughy. Not bad. alexsdad06 (10818) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - APR 29, 2015
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Pours a clear golden brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor had caramel, toasted malts, hints of fruit, earthy bitterness, some alcohol, pretty basic scotch ale, decent. Tmoney99 (14982) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 29, 2015
Tap. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate nuts and toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew.
