COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You don’t need a magic mirror to see the lure of this beer. It’s brewed with seven varieties of experimental dwarf hops. These hops are so called because of their uncommon growing method—shorter hedgerows rather than tall trellis systems—that yields a denser heap of cones with unique flavors that diverge from their full-grown botanical counterparts. Each year new and different varieties are grown in this method, creating untried and exciting shifts in hop character.

Chicago (5/27/17): Poured from 12 oz bottle into tulip glass. Bottled 11/5/15. Pours golden cloudy yellow with a puffy white head, mild carbonation. Aroma of hops, citrus and wheat. Taste mild citrus, nominal hops taste. Light but carbonation holds. Overall OK offering, somewhat different than the Belgium IPA offering this beer is categorized.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 8, 2016
Bottle. Pours a slight hazy yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is a mix of citrusy hops and a some light wheat. The flavor is a little more bland than I was expecting, not a whole lot of bitterness in here. Tastes like there’s some fairly heavy coriander in here, it makes the finish a bit soapy. Light bodied and fizzy with a long lingering finish.

tfontana (1040) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 26, 2016
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is malt base with fruit, bordering on fruity esters. Appearance is hazy light golden yellow with nice sparkle, 1 1/2 finger-width white fizzy head with decent retention and trace lacing. Taste is light sweet fruit balanced with lightly bitter earthy, grassy hops. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and average carbonation and mix of light sweet/bitter finish. Overall, surprising aroma that’s not quite reflected in the taste. Light and refreshing--great for summer.

Bottled 09/24/15 so take this with a grain of salt. Pours slightly hazy yellow. Aroma is wheat and lemon. Flavor is lemon, orange, coriander, wheat. Ehh. Probably better fresh, but likely not much better.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7929) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 25, 2016
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy bright yellow-gold color with a large soapy-foamy yellow-white head that lingered but left minimal lacing. The aroma was yeasty and bready with lemon and fruity hops. The flavor was bitter and dryish with notes of cracker, must, pepper, perfumey hops and band aid. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

DuchessOfIowa (161) - Iowa, USA - MAR 6, 2016
poured from a bottle. Deep straw yellow with a slight orange hue. A big pillowy white head that stuck nicely. Big fruity ester aromatics with some clove and coriander in the flavor also. Some subtle citrus and pine play nicely with the banana theme as the initial sweetness turns very dry.

colui72 (1071) - HONG KONG - FEB 28, 2016
Hazy orange with small white head. Citric aroma, spices, Belgian malts. Taste gets citrus, spices, and lots of these dwarf hops they used here, which are quite pungent. Smooth and refreshing, a tasty Witbier with just more bitterness.
