12oz bottle from local Meijer. Black pour into tulip. Appears like root beer with offwhite lingering head a half inch tall. Smells like vanilla and syrupy malt, a little sarsaparilla scent too. Medium/large body with lots of carbonation. Sweet at first with malty cola taste, flavors of chicory and black licorice. Finish has a big roasted taste, a little sour and dry. Nothing bad, enjoyable but nothing too unique either. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aus der Flasche getrunken (Hndlerlieferung). Untertitelt: "West Coast Style". Fast undurchdringliches Braunschwarz mit stabiler beiger Massivschaumkrone. In der Nase leichte Schoko-Rstaromen. Im Mund dringen winzige Futzelchen der Aromahopfensorten durch.

Bottle at home. Pours black with medium sized beige head. Aroma is cocoa and roasted malts. Taste has roasted coffee and cocoa. Maybe a bit thin bodied.

Czarne, nieprzejrzyste.

Opaque. Lack color with a tan head of foam. The aroma and flavors are an interesting clash of resinous hop bite with the roast, cocoa, and light caramel make a sweet and dry stout that is all west coast.

Black with little brown head. Aroma is quite hoppy fruit with caramel, ovomaltine, cocoa, syrup. Hoppy! Taste is fresh wet hop with much natural sourness. Little sweetness. Not so bitter. Only thin in the mouth with not much carbonation and light sparkling. The hops and sourness didnt fit so well for me.

Dla mnie smakował jak zwykły stout. Miał czarną barwę, a także przyzwoitą, choć odrobinę nietrwałą pianę. Pachniał dosyć kawowo. Można było rwnież wyczuć odrobinę amerykańskiego chmielu, a także trochę karmelu i nut palonych. W smaku głwnie kawa i lekki karmel. Goryczka bardzo niska. Nasycenie niskie+. W widełkach stylu. Trochę jednowymiarowe. Może być.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is dark brown with slight mahogany, finger-width foamy light brown head with poor retention and nice sudsy foam lacing. Aroma is dark fruit, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is mix of sweet and bitter roasted malts, milder dark fruit, earthy hops. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation, and dry, mild earthy bitter finish. Overall, a thinner texture than I?d like in a stout and the aroma is more exciting than the taste.
