Slight sweetness on the aroma. Golden in color with no head. Sweet tripel flavor with nice underlying spice notes. A classic triple; excellent.
Notes: Called Sierra Nevada "Belgian Tripel" when tried. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2011

Pours a moderate golden color with a white head and a bit of haze. Good retention and lacing. Nose brigs some spicy yeast and earthy hops with light malt in the background. The taste infuses a bit if booze with the alice and some sweet malt. Feel is a bit thin and boozy. Drinks well overall, and was a nice change of pace.

Aroma of coriander, confectionery sugar and lemongrass. Appearance was gold with white head. Flavor matched the nose with some light hop presence. Palate is creamy. An alright Tripel Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2010
Draft at Delaney’s. Golden colour with some white head, leaving abundant lace. The carbonation is right there. Sourness in the finish detracts from the enjoyment. Not a great representation of the style, but still drinkable. Alcohol seemed higher in this one. otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 1, 2010
Gold glimmers in my glass with a soft brush of orange for balance. A thin head fades into a white collar while a steady stream of bubbles centered in the middle make a mad dash for freedom. (It should be known that she was served to me in a Chimay chalice which has an etching in the bottom so as to stimulate a steady release of carbonation for maximum aromatics.) As a result, a massive nose of Tripel proportions grabs a-hold and never lets go. Yeast and spice out the wazoo and uber-doughy. Forget the oven because the baker’s hands are wrist-deep in fresh dough, kneading and kneading some more. Apricots and nectarines, green pears and red apples, cinnamon sprinkles for fresh applesauce, and a kiss of honey sweetness melt together in beerphoric harmony. Subconsciously, I lick my lips in thirsty anticipation. Sweet, creamy, and just right. I half swallow and half chew my way through the first few quaffs rich with dough and a bright personality. Apples, green pears, green grapes, apricots, and apricot jelly kissed with honey make sweet love to my tatsebuds before spreading warmth and joy through my throat and chest. Juicy apricot meat and cinnamon sprinkles linger in my breath while honey coats everything. Lipsmackingtastic. A few more quaffs and my glass is looking awfully lonely.

Overly complex…not really, but darn good. Once more Sierra Nevada hits a homer out of left field (well, they are out west), and I am there to catch it. Tis a lucky day, indeed.
On tap at Falling Rock. Pours a clear light amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and spicy, of preserved citrus, malt, and coriander. Taste is fruity sweet and spicy, of juice, malt, citrus. Lingering spicy sweet that fades. Decent. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUL 5, 2010
On tap at the Crescent Moon. Pours dark gold with no head. Has a big fruity aroma with no hops discernible. This beer has the requisite belgian medicinal taste but is way to sweet. It is super candy sweet. A good (college) try. Nickls (2554) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUN 25, 2010

Very clear light gold; with virtually no head poured (not sure if it was server or the brew’s fault). A bit spicy and yeasty; not a ton going on; bubblegum is clear in this for some reason; some flowery candy-like aromas as well. Spices; vanilla; sweetish candied sugar; and a little ’damp’ tasting. OK overall; soft carbonation; medium to thinner generally. Not bad drinking; no real off flavors, just some things that I don’t normally find in others in the range. Different enough to keep my interest

Draught from the ginger man. sort of a blonde ale with some extra character. Pretty good. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - MAY 21, 2010
On tap as a guest beer at town hall Minneapolis during Minnesota craft beer week. Nice aroma, fairly subtle with hint of Belgian yeast. Really nice first foray for SN into Belgians. Sweet with Belgian yeast. Very enjoyable. Can’t believe I’m the first rating rougly 1,700 miles from Chico
