Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

I get that spicy grassy, floral hop smell with some grainy Pilsner malt. Crisp and refreshing with that spicy hop bite and the Pilsner bready malt with some wheat tastes in there as well. The hops end the beer and give a tangy bitterness just as Sierra Nevada describes. This is an excellent beer for the style and definitely one of my all time favorite summer beers to drink on a hot summer day.

Bottle poured into Lager glass. Pours clear straw coloured with huge quickly vanishing white head. Nose is light malts, straw, light skunky to grainy. Taste is clear malty bodey, typical Lager notes grainy, breadcrump more or less ordinary...

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear gold color with a small white head. The aroma is all hops and malt. The taste follows the nose but also has a nice dose of pepper.

12oz boudeille bottled06/2016 (import bb07/2017 though?). - Bohemian Saaz juice recipe goes watery macro lager on unpresuming malt cracker base. - Thinner yellow fizz pour. Hay cracker, spelt biscuit in water with a minor splash of lemon. "Correct" and crisp bitterness, but quite forgettable and thin overall. Down-to-earth bravery: At least its not another crafty India Pale Lager...

This Pilsner lager pours a transparent yellow gold hue with a steady white head and lots of fresh lacing. The aroma is grassy Saaz hops, grainy malt, with also a unique fruity hop note. Flavor is fresh and delicious pale malt, some sweetness, with both floral and herbal hop notes Medium-bodied and smooth. I found this preferable to the "Nooner Pilsner" also released by Sierra Nevada. Tastes like summer!

Gets the job done well enough on a hot summer day. Tropical fruit aroma. Very light lemony hops taste but mainly lager malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
